@marcohavokkhaos Not true, Fire Pro Returns on PS2 had several referees to choose from and they all had their own speed (pinfalls, outside count, dq). You could even create your own referees and decide the speed of their count. Also in RAW 2 on Xbox you could choose between 4 real life referees (Chioda, Hebner, White, Patrick) and they all had different way to count (like Chioda had the fastest counts, while Nick Patrick counted very slowly).
A crazy detail is that if it's a wrestler's actual birthday (the date on your console), then it's going to be written "Happy birthday __!" above his or her name during his or her entrance. I think it's pretty cool. 😊
Big nerd easter egg: In RTE there's a restaurant you can visit in Austin, TX called Eye On Storm. It's a reference to Ion Storm, the company founded by DOOM co-creator John Romero that produced Deus Ex and the infamoust Daikatana. Ion Storm, id Software, Apogee/3D Realms and other major American game developers of the time were located in Texas so the location fits as well.
I heard the actual wrestlers themselves used their voices for the screams when they get attack, just like how they did for WWF attitude. For example, if MJF does a submission, he'll say something like "Tap Out, You Suck!" & if you make MJF tap out, he'll shout, "I Give! I Give!" There are other ones that you can try out, like Omega, Darby, Punk & Jericho. Last time I've seen something like that in a wrestling games was probably WWE 12, during backstage brawls.
Yes it's true. Every single wrestler voiced lines and grunts starting from Abadon all the way to Sakazaki. Even Cody's grunts are supposedly his, seeing as he recorded his lines prior to leaving. The only person I haven't checked is Brodie, but he might actually have some lines seeing as they were recording mat slam effects in 2020.
If you have the Electric Barbwire Bat and your momentum in SPECIAL you can also do a finisher animation by flicking right stick to a standing opponent. It’s pretty gnarly!
You can shake hands of the match animation. Just pick him up while celebrating and wait for a computer to put your hands out and then you press RB I think if you have stander controls, I press RT and my guy get his hand out. But you need to be close to see the animation.
As far as I can tell there is no way to make an opponent bleed without a weapon. I hope they update this because playing games like No Mercy and WrestleMania 2000 back in the day always got a pop out of me when I would bust them open off a random punch or move.
In No Mercy, if submissions weren't a win option and you kept doing them, eventually you'd hear a snapping sound, and the enemy meter would go dim. Anyone tested this yet?
Just like the Ladder 🪜 finisher shown you can get a Flaming Table 🔥 While holding a Table next to a standing opponent if you’re momentum is SPECIAL flick the right stick. Your wrestler will lay the table down next to the opponent, set it on fire and move so the opponent is between you and the table so you can grapple them and slam them.
button mashing is primitive lazy game design. It also completely leaves out anyone with accessibility needs. As well I really don't enjoy wrecking my $80 controllers because a dev couldn't come up with meter or slider system for pins and submissions.
This game is awesome My only issues so far are targeting (it’s ass rn) & the lack of match types in multi person matches (oh, and the tables, they kinda suck too)
When the barb wire death match explosion happens it includes the special botch when it happened during moxley vs omega your fighters will still sell the botch explosion including in the game its pretty cool
I don’t have the game on Switch, but for the dives you can press Y+B or X+A near the ropes. If your wrestler can’t do it, they’ll just step up on the bottom rope then step back down. For a dive you run and then press the same two buttons. Running should be A.
Is there a way to unlock the finisher/signature slots on AEW Wrestlers? For example Penta only has one finisher and one signature and the other 4 slots are locked and I want to give him more special moves.
I hope they fix the server issue with the ps5 version, it’s a good start as far as the game how I know they will be doing more in he future so I’m excited for that.
If you take control after a match and pick up your opponent and wait they will put there hand out for a handshake and you can press r1/rb to trigger a short cutscene of you and your opponent shaking hands
Does this work in Road to Elite? There is on base PS4 like nothing after the Match really. If I pin the opponent, it ends with the stats/money you get. Never was able to shake hands etc.
If you hold y whilst holding a ladder you kick your opponent and put the ladder on top of them shame its bugged and pops off but hopefully that will get patched
@@MrFroggster I meant that from the gameplay I’ve seen before this video! I’ve seen gameplay that didn’t show that you could throw people over the rope. Now that I know ya can, I love this game more.
I don't know if that's true. Possibly had already set the explosion to be historic and not big. Only way for now to unlock it is through Road to Elite.
I’m really enjoyed playing this AEW Games. It brings me back to the games from the early 2000s that I used to play with a few extra features on it is which they had a little more Contant through it more matching types and there was more to the career mode.
There's actually another easter egg about the Exploding Barbed Wire Deathmatch! There's another hidden explosion when the timer runs out. It would replicate the weak explosion ending from the match between Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley at AEW Revolution 2021.
Ladder matches on both WWE 2k and AEW FF need to have the pull meter regenerate over time if the briefcase, belt or chip hasn't been touch in a while. Thus making the matches longer and challenging.
Um, those matches last long enough, it's not like the old days, where you can win in a minute. I remember when MITB match first came out on the game, it legit took us 3 hours to win the match.
you have to love the gameplay but this game needs more content and some polish with the Momentum System and pin/Submission and more Match types (backstage areas)
Make sure you have your momentum in SPECIAL and move the right stick like you would when doing a finisher. Has to be next to a standing opponent otherwise you just do a taunt with the table

I COULD USE SOME HELP. I’ve been playing the game for a few days now and can’t figure out how to throw the opponent to the outside or throw them back into the ring. Every time Irish whip them into they just bounce off the ropes or apron. If anything knows how, that would be amazing (I’m on PS5)
Does anybody have a strategy for the rollout cheese method? I'm sick of beating people to death and then they just roll out seven times until they eventually eek out a win
Is it just me or is the counter system really weird? I can't counter grapples to save my life, no matter when I press LB. I found more success having easy countering enabled and mash all the buttons, but thats not quite the point of it 😅
Disconnect from your wifi and then try to play. I got it on ps4 and blue screen kept happening to me and turning off my wifi fixed it for the time being, so try that man! 🤘
@@diehard_316yup. Can confirm that it works to disconnect from the internet. The first time it crashed for me, I was making my own wrestler and as soon as I got to setting the move set, damn thing crashed.
@dozer11 I was just doin regular matches just trying to get the feel of it, did maybe 3. Then it crashed on me everyrime before the entrances to any match.
Do anyone know how to taunt and make your opponent sit up? I've seen the cpu taunt and I would sit up ready for a special like adam Cole or shida. Its tough doing snap mare everytime.
4-5 championship entrances?? It’s shit like this that will make me stick with Yukes in the long run. 2K have had an established franchise for like 8 years and haven’t been able to even add double championship entrances, it’s the simplest shit that they NEVER get right. Sure, this game is limited but I have to doubt it will stay this way, 2K on the other hand will always remain unwilling to fully listen to their audience.
Hidden features should be a cage match, royal rumble, a good creation suite and full customizable wrestlers. How a 60-70 dollar next gen 2023 that’s been worked on for years should be
Cage match may be hidden. I found the TBS title on a random episode (got the 3 titles in one playthrough of RTE trophy) Also is a series of gauntlet matches but I lost the 4 way PPV. I think winning that unlocks the gauntlet match?
I think alot of fans are forgetting the fact that this AEW game being released means that 2k has competition...which means they will have to better their game also...so at the end of the day WE as fans will get the best wrestling game.

@@TheBuddha337 Don’t get me wrong, This game is definitely mindless button mashing fun, but that’s exactly what these marks do. this game is completely bare-bones compared to any 2k game but solely because it’s not a 2K game they act like it’s the best game ever, simply because they’re not a simulator fan so they consider it trash. It’s only the AEW marks that think that.
Bro there’s only seven match types, seven similar sized arenas, two very short modes, five second entrances, no commentary, extremely limited customization, only four in the ring at once, etc. what a absolute filthy mark you are for this comment 😂
WWE All Stars is the most Under Appreciated wrestling game ever. The gameplay was damn near perfect out the gate. They could have made a more simulation style sequel and it would have been easily better than the Yukes WWE offerings
If you’re on PS4, right now it’ll kick you out before starting almost any match. Only one that works is Battle Royale. A temporary fix though is to disconnect your console from the internet.
