AEW Wrestlers Who Regret Joining AEW 

I really enjoy Danhausen. He cracks me up. The guy is an average wrestler so I'm not shocked that Tony hasn't used him much. Tony is obsessed with Dave Meltzer and 5 star matches. Danhausen is a comedy wrestler who doesn't care if he wins. IMO he would fit in better in WWE. I can imagine R Truth and Danhausen going back and forth.

William Regal: I'm sad this one didn't work out because I really liked him a lot in AEW, but I also understand that he wanted to spend the remainder of his career with his son. Danhausen: I understand why he got hired, he was an indie dude who moved tons of merch and then...did nothing. Also probably didn't help his career in AEW that he's apparently CM Punk's strongest soldier backstage Colt Cabana: I have no idea why he was even there to begin with other than he's a semi-notable indie name

Man, I cannot picture Colt Cabana in the Dark Order at all. Not the cool cult era, and not the circle of goofballs era.

Danhausen IMO is tailor-made for TNA. His wacky character feels perfect for the weird, backstage universe TNA has created with the likes of Joe Hendry and Dirty Dango. I could see Danhausen vying for the Digital Media title and teaming with Joe Hendry.

Regal is the one I honestly get the most since considering his son was in NXT he most likely wanted to help him out in person and with both in the same company instead of just having them in different companies and aby advice being via calls although a downside is r.i.p Regal calling Excalibur Man in Mask. Cabana is interesting considering Punk being in AEW could've been a reason why Cabana was off TV although if that's the case some belief is that it was a The Elite move. So many wrestlers AEW signed and some or most have been basically ghosted

If Colt Cabana didn't join AEW, chances are Brawl Out would never happen. When CM Punk joins the company, Cabana isn't taken off TV because he wasn't on to begin with. Cabana not being removed means Hangman doesn't deliver the "worker's rights" line in his promo. No personal line means punk doesn't fire back and he never gets into an argument with the elite. No argument and the press conference goes without a hitch and the elite never go to punk's dressing room and nobody gets into a fight. You could even take this a step further and say that means collision isn't formed, Jack Perry is either allowed by management to go through a windshield or he's not. Either way CM Punk doesn't get involved, but even if he did, and even if Brawl In still happens, it would have been Punk's first and only offense to that point and he likely would have been only suspended at that point rather than released. But the butterfly effect still continues. CM Punk isn't let go, and that means he doesn't return to WWE at survivor series. No return means no feud with Drew McIntyre. So thank you Colt Cabana

I really don't think Regal regretted joining AEW. I mean he was fired from WWE. Unless he says so himself I feel like that's a bullshit entry. Regal got fired, joined up with the next biggest company made an impact and left on his own terms to the place he belongs. He's a WWE guy and definitely should be coaching the younger NXT stars. He was spectacular in AEW but his home is WWE. If you got kicked out of the house by your dad and then under a year later he's gone and Moms inviting you back you don't regret going where you went you're just happy to be home. I don't see how Danhausen would care about being signed to AEW as you are allowed to work anywhere else. So if he's getting a salary for not even being there and then can do whatever he wants on the indi's then why would he regret it? Maybe he isn't happy there but he can't regret joining when being in AEW doesn't hold him back from doing anything except being signed by WWE and it's 50/50 that he gets misused there too. He can spend his entire AEW contract at TNA or GCW and now with being a signed AEW wrestler he can use that on his resume and get booked more for it. So again another bullshit entry in my opinion. Colt Cabana I can see regret doing it. As he is not really any better off then when he joined he was a Indi star and now he's an Indi star again. Him being signed to AEW only made him slightly more known in the wrestling world then before.

Danhausen is one of many characters I wanted to see more of in AEW and never get booked or pushed at all. He's one of the few people I bought merch of in AEW

What Regal did was dumb. Had he would've waited awhile and not rush to go to AEW. He wouldn't have been in AEW for a few months.

Regeal doesn't regret his time in AEW. But he regrets being fired from WWE. If HHH had taken charge after Regeal got fired. HHH would have re hired him. Given the choice of AEW or WWE Regeal would have chosen WWE. Regeal himself said he rang Tony Khan for his release. TK had just lost a family member. William said Tony Khan agreed to it straight away after they talked. Regeal regretted being fired from WWE and going to AEW. given the choice Regeal would have preferred to stay with WWE. Regeal is still close friends with all the Blackpool Combat Club. He is still part of the BCC whats app group. Colt Cabana works behind the scenes as a producer in AEW. He is also on BTE

William Regal was booked pretty well with him being responsible for the formation of the Blackpool Combat Club and managing two of the top wrestlers in the world Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson. Danhausen never should have formed a partnership with Hook and instead should have been a foil to heels as a member of the Best Friends. Colt Cabana should have been more prominent on ROH and I would love to see Colt Cabana possibly compete for ROH World Title or TV Title maybe being shown more on Collision and a feud with CM Punk at All In London 2023 would have drew money.

Honorable Mention: Top10Wrestling Top10Wrestling is a successful YTuber who makes phenomenal wrestling content. When WWE was at it's worst during the "Redacted" Era, AEW made it's presence and gave look light in the wrestling scene. As fun as the product was it became stale over time and lots of problems started to surface, it sour the taste for Top10Wrestling. And now with the footage of Punk choking out Perry at Wembley shown on Dynamite, it cause him to regret joining the AEW family.

I think William Regal was happy to find a job when he got fired from WWE and by Vince McMahon during a pandemic moment. The only reason he was back to WWE was the retirement of McMahon and the rise of Hunter as new big boss. If Vince was still the boss, Regal would still be at AEW and happy to have a salary. Danhausen is a joke, remember his match of 10 seconds against Tony Neese. The guy never did anything since he joined to AEW. TK could fire him without any regret. Colt Cabana, one more guy happy to have a job during the pandemic. If i remember, he had a role backstage and was not supposed to be a main eventer, just a jobber to give the spotlight to others. The reason of his downfall is CM Punk, you know the guy who let a good memories about him in any wresting company he works.

This video is nonsense. It’s 2/3 speculation based on no evidence. Regal has never said or even implied he regretted working in AEW. Him leaving is not an indication he regretted working there. They gave him a job after WWE let him go. What is there to regret? Colt Cabana still works there and has also never expressed regret.

I'd add 'All Ego' Ethan Page to that list: his former Tag Team Partner Josh Alexander has become a high-ranking star and holds many pro wrestling records whilst still in TNA whereas Ethan Page has been in AEW for years and has accomplished nothing at all.
