Christian was one of my personal favs when he wrestled, him being there allowed me to witness the great young talent that they had. plus that 6 sided ring was eye catching and lethal lockdown became one of my favorite PPVs they had on.

I found it when they had weekly ppvs for $9 watched it on a friends bud satalytte dish.....thats how they first started....

The thing is many wrestlers who went through TNA hated the 6 sided ring. The biggest and most common complaint was a lot stiffer then a standard four sided ring. But it was unique, separated them from the rest and it brought the toy makers to look into TNA. But ultimately what caused the downfall was really Bischoff/Hogan era that started in 2009. TNA missed out on Heyman prior to this and to this day is one of the greatest "What If?" questions in wrestling.

Today if you are observing the scene of professional wrestling, today the very same TNA/ Impact wrestling acts as feeder system for wrestlers to jump to AEW or WWE or to some extent NWA as well John Morrison, Ec3, Lashley went to wwe after making names for themselves in TNA. Half of NWA roster comprises of former TNA/Impact wrestlers like Nick Aldis, Eli drake or James Storm. For that matter tag teams like Lucha bros or a part of inner circle which comprises former Lax made name for themselves in Impact for american audience before they jumped ship to AEW. It is rumored that Brian Cage may join Aew once he recovers from injury.

Impact does have the best womens roster. Tessa, Tara, Kylie Rae etc. But ROH has now taken its place as the 2nd(3rd after AEW) alternative.

And look what happens to Bobby, EC3 and all the other TNA stars who went to WWE. Only John is doing well (for now).

Liam/Brooke no wwe cancelled the deal because he was arrested for trying to cross the border from Canada into America with drugs.

it was because she kept spending a lot of money after every show booker t talks about it on his podcast she did destroy the show as well

TNA didn’t lose Spike over Russo. The network has denied that in the years since. TNA lost spike because of Dixie taking the network for granted despite all it did for the company. Spike went above and beyond for TNA lots of times without appreciation. They paid for international shoes, paid for some wrestlers, and even paid for the rebranding project to impact. They did all of that without owning any equity of the company and when they tried to buy equity Dixie wouldn’t accept a reduced role and killed the deal. And after all of that Dixie demanded a big rights increase from the network and they decided they were done. And then she tried to reverse course but the network was done with the company. Russo is just the fun excuse but wasn’t the real reason. Dixie taking the network for granted for years is what cost them Spike, especially once they had Bellator to focus on instead. People want to throw the blame at lots of people but every issue the company eventually had boils down to Dixie in the end.

Look at how Dixie handled destination America as an example. She sent an email lambasting the network to a bunch of its executives and her primary issue was that they didn’t publish the DVR numbers of the show. And what a stupid thing to be pissed about. The revenue of viewership is for advertisers. The idea that DVR numbers would be big for advertisers, considering DVR results in skipping ads, says all anybody needs to know about how Dixie handled business.

Depends on what you consider going somewhere. By the time he came in the company was on a downward spiral and left a really bad taste for the fans. But with Dixie TNA never had a true hope to become something big. When she knew her role they had a chance but once she made her moves to take control it was doomed.

Nowadays they're actually going pretty strong. Sure they won't ever compete with wwe and any company that tries to do that will fall short by quite a bit, but they are doing really well now because they're not trying to directly compete with the E. Aew seems to be going strong right now too since they're not trying to compete with wwe. The lesson? Do your thing and be your own model if your starting a wrestling company. Don't try and be another copy. (I'm just a fan of wrestling as a whole and dont favour one brand over another)

When Ted Turner bought Jim Crockett Productions, it was renamed World Championship Wrestling and retained its main roster of NWA wrestlers while becoming independent of NWA. TNA/Impact has been around for under 20 years now. WCW as a company made it past the 20 year mark, and if you date it back to the NWA/Crockett Productions, you're looking at more than 60 years.

I can half agree with this. On one hand it was so unique. On the other, it was better for the talent, many of whom were used to 4 sides. I even remember what AJ Styles said in interviews about how the 6 sided ring has much less give than the 4 sided.

That probably played a role but a lot of WWE vets went there because TNA paid well for a super light schedule compared to WWE. Prichard has said that for a lot of wrestlers in TNA they were making around 80% of what they would’ve been for a similar level of role in the WWE. If you could do that with the schedule that would be a solid option. Then think of the top stats like sting or angle who made seven figures with that light schedule. That would be really tempting compared to the schedule WWE was running if the money was still solid. A lot of others went there simply because it was the other job available and then went back to WWE once their contract was done in TNA.

They've completely ruined their image. There is a new number 2 promotion in aew and they are everything tna was in its hay day and then some. Im not even sure I'd call them number 3 or 4. They're probably lower than that. need to just pack it up and sell and just completely kill the tna/impact/gfw/whatever the fuck they go by this week. Just completely end it. Yes ppl will be out of jobs but they probably will be soon anyway when they eventually get completely eaten up and spit out by the competition.
