This is BETTER than I was looking with selecting a part of an image and being able to copy/cut it into a new layer. Absolutely going to use this and educate myself more on macros thanks to you.
Thanks so much for those macros! I wish I'd seen them earlier. The inability to copy a selection from an image layer is one of the dumbest things in Affinity Photo. You didn't go to all the trouble of creating a careful selection just so you could copy the entire layer! At least there should be a setting to get Assistant to do just what your macro does: copy a selection from a rasterized copy of the image layer.
Hi there - I cannot get the macro to be recognised in Affinity Photo v2 both before and after the most recent update this week. Any chance you could re-upload it?
Hey, I figured out I was incorrectly trying to import the macro into the macro tab and not the library tab as in your video. Works a treat now, thanks!
Indeed very frustrating... What version and platform of Affinity are you using? Secondly the download is a zip file, you need to unpack it first before importing to Affinity.
