Listen to these affirmations when you are having trouble sleeping or want to relax.
Over 70% of child sexual abuse survivors deal with sleep issues. If you are one of them, know you are not alone, and there are solutions. Sleep affirmations are short, positive statements that can help you calm your limbic system and clear your thoughts while you are trying to fall asleep.
It may feel strange at first, or it may feel like these affirmations aren’t making any immediate difference. But we encourage you to be patient and remember that retraining the limbic system takes time and repetition. As you continue practicing resources such as this one, soothing your limbic system and sending it cues that it’s time to go to sleep, over time your brain will be more able to adopt a new sleeping pattern.
