It is an upper crust neighborhood. They count their blessings n a living a fulfilling life. Khumalo is high end n I can imagine sunrise n sunsets wn living there. I truly love it ❤ Mr Zim 🇿🇼 thank u, u making waves around the country n bringing us the best 👏👏
A plush neighbourhood Mr Zim thank you. I think we should start renewing the vegetation like Jacaranda trees ...start planting new jacaranda ones in the middle of old ones and eventually phasing out the old ones,. Those old trees can not last forever. Bulawayo is a step ahead of Harare in renewing vegetation.
Well Khumalo is certainly very leafy but yards are smaller and due to proximity to CBD there is lots of housebreakings and other crime. Burnside is the best in my opinion. Large yards and big houses. Do a video on Burnside and see. Not as leafy as Khumalo but there is something there.
My grandparents lived in Kumalo and I went to Kumalo Primary, but I lived a few minutes away in Parklands. I loved going to my grandparent's house after school on a very hot afternoon to get some cold water to drink then I would walk home if I wasn't being picked up by my dad or whoever was supposed to be picking me up. I preferred to walk home because I could hang out with my friends who walked home and we would have so much fun on our way home. My favourite neighbourhood is definitely Hillside because my cousins lived in a massive house there and we used to go to the lake for a braai or picnic which was always so much fun.
@@MunhuAfro I probably walked past your house everyday depending on where exactly it is. My grandfather lived on Bookless Road, so if you lived anywhere around that road then I might have passed your house several times.
Great vid, hope you got time to take more vids of other interesting places around Blues like Hillside Dams, Nesbitt Castle, Matopos, Khami Ruins, NUST e.t.c
I have noticed that colonial low density surbubs are leafier than the newer post colonial ones. I am not sure why mordern town planning doesn't encourage planting of trees. During your drive, I think you partly crossed over to Parklands. I believe David Coltart is one of the famous residents of Khumalo. Personally I prefer Ilanda surbub over Khumalo surbub because it more greener, even though most of the yards are smaller in size than the Khumalo ones.
Houses in Ilanda are much smaller and closer together. Did you know there is an aquifer beneath Ilanda that's why this residential area is so green. Take note many cracked walls due to subsidence. 😒
Quite surprising! The neighbourhood hasn't changed that much- looks like the properties are being well maintained in Khumalo & property costs very very very low compared to the UK. 😏👍
I think its Kumalo..... .spelling issue should be from abelungu days just like from the Byo coat of arms which says "siya pambili" when the correct way is "siya phambili"
Hi, what advice would you give a person who wants to buy a house in zim but is working abroad? In terms of securing a loan, mortgages etc. What could basically work for them and how to go about it?
Google CBZ diaspora. Make sure you buy your land/house through a legitimate real-estate agent, they are listed on Estate Agents Council of Zimbabwe website, the banned ones are listed there too.
Don't buy a house (unless it's new)... Buy land and build. Most of these houses are very old and have not been maintained well. Building a house also works out cheaper
