Very cool ideas. How’d the truck canister work out? I’m currently debating upgrading by bag, and I really don’t want to spend 300 dollars or more on a filter. I’d rather vent outside then do that
The truck filter works great. It takes some work to get it clean when it clogs, but I assume the same goes for the name brand filters. I’m thinking about putting a second one on the unit to increase my square footage. Should clog a lot less quickly that way.

The whole thing can be disassembled if desired. I know a common upgrade to these units is to replace the stock impeller with a larger one as there is plenty of room in the shroud. It improves airflow at a small cost. Maybe look up “Harbor Freight dust collector Rikon upgrade”.
