For the people thinking this is expensive...no....93k for this is VERY affordable for what it has. That said, you don't buy suv coupes for practicality. 100% a flex. And as you should.
Well, I got mine last week. 2022 GLE AMG 53 coupe. Cost me $104,333. I could not get the wireless phone charge due to Covid issues and lack of computer chips. I have the red brake calipers, black and red napps interior leather. Again, no leather-wrapped steering wheel. I have some Alcantara kind of wrapping. I have the 22" summer tires and in the midwest winters that was not a smart choice. They expand during the winter right now and shape turning causing rubbing of the tires but I'm told that is ok but I do not like the jerking that takes place when turning but this stops when winter is gone and it gets warm. Hey, what can I say I like the 22" tire look. It looks like a beast on the road in all black with the red brakes. Simply a beast. One more thing, when in Sport plus the popping of the exhaust is VANTASTIC.
There are very “few” out there that are missing the wireless charger. That is a complete dealbreaker for me. I’m not paying $105,000 for a car and still have to use a USB to charge the phone (cords hanging everywhere), no clean look. . And then to add insult to injury, they refund you $200 for the missing wireless charger. I’m willing to bet if you tried to have one installed by the dealer aftermarket, they would charge you at least $2000 at the minimum.
That's right. This is the one we were in for the bday. Had to delay it a bit to get some other videos posted, but here it is! Thanks for watching, Melissa!
As in the C63 S GT...I really think I like the CLS. Not much head room in the back but it is a suped up 4 seater that's more affordable than my all time dream car the, Aston Martin Rapide.
I like the reviews but a suggestion: I don't think it is necessary to spend 4 minutes reading Mahroney sticker's list of features and options. Like saying this includes prewiring in the back seat. I own this car and don't even need this prewiring. It is a really a useless option. But yet you mention it. Just a suggestion: pick 4 or 5 options and discuss them. It is just not necessary to list out every amenity. Viewers can just go to the company's website to see that.
Damn i wish the germans would design the car and let the Japanese build it . Secretly of course. That way i can buy this car 6 yrs from now with depreciation and not worry about the repair bill!
That would be magical, THE STEAM BOX, but then to make it reliable it would have a 3.5L V6 from the Camry or a 5.0L V8 from the Tundra in it and it wouldn't be fun anymore. 😉 Thanks for watching!
There has to be a learning curve with these infotainment systems. Looks intimidating. I still don’t know why they make these instead of regular SUVs. I guess I am not target market so just try to watch and think similar to regular GLE.
There's is a learning curve to these infotainment units, Paul M, but even full-featured ones like what Mercedes uses can be fairly intuitive to use, once you've spent time with them. They all aren't created equal, though. Thanks for watching!
I’m a little curious why the GLE 53 has “oh shit” handlebars on the driver side of the center console. You usually only see those on the passenger side (and more typically around the roof or door) of sports cars, off-road vehicles, etc. I mean, assuming your hands are on the wheel... 🤔
Since this video is only 11 minutes and you spent the first 4 minutes--or 36%--reading a Mahroney sticker. Really not necessary. This car is full of awesome stuff. Go into greater depth of its incredible features and forget about the incidental options and rather common options like lane keep assist (unless it is something you want to emphasize becuase it is special).
Because Mercedes and BMW wanted to make a new classification of sloping roofline vehicles. Now everyone calls that design a coupe, no matter how many doors it has. Thanks for watching, bbrownasu!
Quite a few companies have tried, Matt -- Acura, BMW, and Honda to name a few. It's a challenging design to pull off, but that hasn't stopped them from trying. Thanks for watching!
