The great time saver is being a subscriber. I get Jeff's videos on my notifications screen & most of the time i cant watch them. But as soon as I'm in a quiet place @ 🏡 i do. No scrolling through a bunch of crap that is out there to find the real deal. One arrow per target is the best instinctive trainimg u will get. I have a 3D range in the summer that's in thick cover & the best time to shoot it is midday. U cant see my four 3D targets from the ground. So i go up the 🌳 & when I'm tied in i pull up my recurve with the 4 arrows in a tube. I go through effort to do this but once i have a setup dialed in one arrow per target has made me better as an Archer & Hunter. If I want to get reps in for stronger muscle memory i shoot from the ground with double stacked foam targets strapped together on a platform. I put 5 small stickers on each target.

I bought a pmz coral snake, which is just a rebranded black hunter. It's a good bow, but putting a fast flight, flemish twist on it really did make it shoot and feel that much better. It's been super fun to learn on.

Awesome! You’ll really like it especially with an upgraded string like a TTT and a little silencing material like Velcro where the limbs make contact with the riser but awesome bows for sure! You can use any of the Satori how to videos on it because it’s the exact same 👍🏻

Had one of these bows for a few months now, also at 40lb. My other bow is a 40lb black hunter longbow. Checked the weights at my draw at 28" black hunter comes in at 42lb and the ILF recurve at 38lb. Recurve is very smooth to draw, but the grip doesn't feel quite right to me. The recurve is heavy in the hand and the longbow very light. I prefer the black hunter grip, the black hunter also shoots the same arrows faster with a flatter trajectory. Both good bows, enjoy shooting both of them but at the moment shooting a bit better with the longbow. Again great video Jeff, giving me a few thoughts. God bless you brother.

Just checked the brace height on my recurve, was only 6". Changed it to around 7and a half, higher poundage, faster shoots much more consistently and much quieter. Different bow altogether, much more accurate. Just have to work on my consistency! Thanks Jeff. Simple over sight on my part.

What are your thoughts on : SLING-BOW’S that shoot around 180fps and are lethal and accurate 20-30 yards effective & efficiently taking big game on many of the RU-vid videos I’ve watched ! They seem ideal for mobile hunting and close encounters & all you have to pack in and deal with is a couple arrows and a lil sling bow that you can hunt in any tree bush brush briar patch and not worrry about movement and getting busted or allowing room to draw your bow etc. it seem like a fun challenge and tool to have in your arsenal…

But I think the future is to get more people shooting trad & new -bies aren't likely to be buying a $2000 setup. It's inevitable that shops like 3 Rivers need to adapt or get left behind in the future. Anyone that has watched Sreven Hann videos from Archery Supplies in Australia knows what I'm talking about.

Jeff, Whats going on brother?! Id like to ask you this.. How much emphasis should I put on having a more compact bow, with a roughly 30.5 draw length? I understand you might not know, having a shorter draw length yourself. I dont want a ton of finger pinch.. So I was thinking either a 19 riser with longs. Or a 21 with meds. My true draw is 29"...I know that I am then about 2 to 3 lbs more. I am a quick release type of shooter like you. I am 6'3" about 215 lbs build...in good shape. I bought this bow to shoot with my grandson I bought 500 spine 30 inch arrows with 100 grain tips, I draw just under 29 inches. I’m trying not to cut these arrows, if I watched and understand correctly, I should put heavier tips on these 500 spine 30 inch arrows, so they’ll fly straight, correct?

I’ve never shot a recurve bow, I’m thinking about buying this ILF. But not sure what draw pounds I should get.. I don’t hunt, I just like archery.. and my daughter is interested in it.. what is your recommendation for the draw pound? I’ve been shooting compound bows for years and kind of fell out of it just because of time.. but I’m use to much higher draws, but they come from 30lbs-60lbs. All the same price.. I’m trying to get more into quick shots so I don’t need a ton of power.. but I want something that can be used for its purpose if it’s ever needed.. just don’t know if I should go lower side of the lbs for comfort and fun vs high lbs for power.
