At one time, I had a chance to "run" with an AK 103 complete with a GP-30 "Shoe" and an Exot 7 cartridge. In my opinion, this is the best example of an army machine gun. Of course, my assault rifle was produced by IzhMash (aka the Kalashnikov Concern). A few notes: this sample is outwardly completely identical to the original AK. Mine have been very reliable except their firing pins. I have broken two of them within first 100 rounds. Replace with a Russian pin and you have a very reliable and accurate rifle.

I just got one myself. With the limited rounds I have fired through it, it still shot flawless. The only thing I noticed is after two mag dumps, the gas piston go so hot that the paint began to bubble and flake off after it started cooling. Easy replacement if needed
