Yes, Attan is a traditional and popular Afghan cultural dance. It is considered the national dance of Afghanistan and is performed at various celebrations, events, and gatherings. Attan is a lively and rhythmic dance that involves circular movements, foot stomping, and hand clapping. The dance is often accompanied by traditional Afghan music, including the use of instruments like the drum (dhol), flute (shehnai), and sometimes the harmonium. Attan is not only a form of entertainment but also holds cultural and symbolic significance. It is a way for Afghans to celebrate their heritage and express joy and unity. The dance has variations in different regions of Afghanistan, each with its unique style and steps, but the essence of celebrating through dance remains a common thread.
99% of pashtoons that are practicing ISLAM are not like this and these people in the gathering don’t look pashtoons at all………so don’t try to fool yourself…….if possible…..
This is not part of the afghan culture at all…….secondly any so called culture that is aginst ISLAMIC values……then this culture will cause fellow humans sufferings and shame for centuries to come………..
Beautiful. Girls in black and green dresses knows the steps of attan perfectly. Can someone please post the link to the song?. I want to have it for my son's wedding inshaAllah ameen ❤ thanks.
It's indeed so heart warning to see these young ladies performing wonderful dance on Pashto music. If I m not wrong, it's Attan. Quite a familiar way of dancing in our part of Pashtoons belt within Pakistan as well. It's a common feature, especially on the occasions of weddings and other festivities. Attan is too rythematic, requiring high degree of alertness of mind and body all the time. One or two fumbles midway by any of the dancers can spoil the whole show. However once it get started in perfect harmony, nothing like that elsewhere around the world. The ladies in the dance are simply outstanding. Excellent Attan indeed. Long live Pashtoons, both in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
attan is national dance of afghanistan we always do it in our mairrage ceremony. and it have nothing to do with pakistan at all. please do not connnect pashton to pakistan its such a huge insult and big disrespect to afghan
@@randomfootages9120 you’ll find attan was being done in what is now known as Pakistan centuries before you were born. It is the national dance of all Pashtuns. Many of the tribes along the Afghan border still perform this dance. Don’t spread false information. Khattaks, Wazirs, Mahsit and many more perform this.
