Very useful, very interesting. I no longer drink wine and no longer have episodes. After COVID I had episodes for a few weeks.

I was just diagnosed with atrial fibrillation. They put me on a ton of drugs that are making me sick. I immediately switched to a Whole Foods plant-based diet but I am afraid to go to physicians that don’t understand the nutritional value.

Have you considered seeing a functional medicine specialist that does medical nutrition?

The melding is good...IF... the MDs can get out of the rut! Wish me luck, I just got a diagnosis of afibb and am on my way to cardiologist in hopes of just that....she does not know me yet, which complicates things more. Wish me luck!

@@draseemdesai I have purchased you book, Restart your Heart, and love it so far! My cardiologist is not so forthcoming and I soooo appreciate how you share information That is what we want and need. I have a real problem with becoming a lapdog on the doctors lap! You book is very empowering!!!

Good question. Not routinely. There is some data to suggest benefit but the numbers are small. www.ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/JAHA.119.014213

I have afib mine started when i was in my early 30s and know I'm 56 yrs old. I have had 2 ibalations were they went in and burned some values. The 1st one lasted about a little over a year but the 2nd one didn't work at all. They have shocked my heart about 8 times in 6 month time and it hasn't worked either. I'm on Eliquis and that's all I'm on for this. Know my heart gets where it will pause for a couple seconds and it scares me so bad. I'm going to see a new doctor the end of june. I wish i can find a doctor that can tell me what i need to do. I'm on disability and i have copd and it doesn't help matters. Is there a medicine out there i can take or a different operation that can be done.

Thank you for sharing your story. Based on the complexity of your case it may be worth going to a tertiary care academic medical center for evaluation.
