@@aussie9489 They should have won more. Even in the 11 year gap between premierships they were consistently Top 4 and only missed the finals once since 2007. There's no better team this century so far.
I remember listening to the Radio interview with Dean Bailey before the game. There was talk of an extension of his contract. David Schwarz said before the game said Melbourne can't let Geelong get to a good start boy was he right. At the start of the game Cameron Shwabb was out and Bailey set to extend his contract at the end Shwabb was back in and Bailey fired.
I remember watching this I was hoping for Melbourne to hold on & they did so Fitzroy still holds the biggest winning margin in VFL/ AFL history of 190 points almost 40 years ago.
Yeah but no the highest score ever. Cats in 1992, round 7. Can't see it being broken in the modern game. BTW, I'll always be a Cat, but I'm still pissed that you got the 'Roys stolen from you.
@@greebo7857your talking about the highest score by a team which yes is Geelong when they finished a game against Brisbane with 239 to 75, Geelong winning by 164, but the highest winning margin was Fitzroy when they beat Melbourne by 190, 238 to 48.
