A few years ago, I had a conversation with the guy who was in charge of operating the old Subiaco oval. He worked every game there since the early 90’s and saw every big Eagles and Dockers game and finals matches. He said the loudest roar he ever heard at the ground was when Justin Longmuir kicked the winning goal after the siren against St Kilda in 2005. So if there was ever another video, that would be my pick to be in it. Also from what I’ve heard at Optus Stadium, the loudest roar there was when Kennedy kicked a late winner against Richmond in 2021. Edit: Naitanui’s goal after the siren vs North Melbourne in 2013 is also regarded by many Eagles fans as one of the loudest moments at Subiaco Oval.
@@Marcelo-hf5xl great stuff mate. In my slightly biased view, I’d recommend Fremantle vs Western Bulldogs elimination final. I was there and the atmosphere was electric. A very special night.
Apart from the pies having the loudest crowd, richmond are on par if not just as loud i reckon,,ive been too alot of games and the tiggers are seriously loud when there up and about
A soccer atmosphere is only louder as the stadiums are primarily filled with home fans. It's like a ratio of 20 to 1. In AFL, especially in Vicotria, the away support is occasionally just as large as the home fans, but its common to have like a 60-40 split. If you've got 40k soccer fans 38k of them barrack for the same team. If you are at an afl game with 40k, fans it's like 25k home fans 15k away. So I don't think it's at all fair to compare them.
