I think we're all learning on these things, and I reckon you are at the leading edge of a repair wave. There will be thousands of these things thrown into irony aluminium bins in scrap yards worldwide and as always there will be a few keen folks who are willing to live with their own repairs!
Owen you are so right about the not repairing, the fitter takes no responsibility when fitting a new unit, they don't open a can of worms. I would not encourage the sale of repaired items beyond simple relay changes. As to the leading edge, not for long, it's just having the time and resources to dig in with no expectations. Lee is great help here, cheers
You have the patience of a saint Andy, being on the boat and relying on my inverter 24h a day I find these videos fascinating yet scary as to what can go wrong,I had to throw a decent 1000w pure sine inverter away last year because something “popped” inside and I got a burning smell from it, I just wish I had your knowledge and confidence👍🏻Andrew
Andrew, I'm thinking of doing a video of basic solar rules, the second rule says never run any equipment beyond 2/3 of it's capacity. For you it's always worth taking the top off faulty equipment, that way slow steps in confidence can be gained, cheers
your gates need a feed if the open without a flow on 4v the low side there cream crackered or dont open on flow low side i.e 4v sound like something is over chargeing a cap and its letting rip shorting the boad have you got track burn dust etc
@@TheInfoworks OK Andy I was trying to help you thats all am city n guilds trained in electronics to part five but have noticed you have done a few so i will leave it to the experts. hope you get it running your shows are always a interesting watch take care mate
@@scrapwomblecreatives6944 Hi, that's interesting, is a K50H603 a suitable replacement for a K30T60? the gate voltages and max current are high enough. Lee had a similar problem with his air source heat pump where an expert told him to scrap it. Cheers
it says it's a rectifier the k50h603 by Infineon Tecnologies international hong kong base if thats true be sine wave injector surely spiking? or been over powered? i would track back from the solar inputs with everything off to start with might be another component better back following bread crumbs from the entery point of the solar inputs the more i read the more conflicting info i find just cannot find any soild data thats not been corrupted in one way or another where did you find your data? you need to look if the high speed switching it the same speed as a defferance there would put everything out of sinc on the sine wave switching
@@TheInfoworks you removed what I had written did you understand it ! are the new ones you put in oscillating at the correct frequency AS THE ONES TAKEN OUT:4 volt but will also have a carrier signal is it the same the ones you put in? the ones you have put in the gates are high speed ones as you know and will be fed with logic pules if you have any fail around them you with get back EMF as the field collapse on the common slaming your relays on and off and blowing the 10 ohns resistors right am out of here good look p.s no gate locks on unless its made too yours are not there all wave or pulse drivin just your not seeing it on a oscilloscope am trying to help you also your testing without the gate switching you need at least a logic generator to test them at least taping a tester on it shows nothing to you. knock yourself up a basic 50hz oscillator E C G to see its oscillating right speed. an pcb with a 4 volt output see if the gate switches on and off at the same time when testing it. a small hand genny around 4 volt check the outputs the same on E AND C by testing both sides last point what is it generating at the gate saw wave pules you have no idea blind like that mate you need a bit more test gear old stuff as good as new stuff or get the iron out make stuff you need i use my feedback function generator fg600 have had since my collage days gives you some idea its about 30 year old and still working
