We now know that not the Ga Adangbes who defeated the Ashantis at the Battle of Dodowa or the Katamanso war but was the combine effort of the British, Akyems, Fantes, Akwamus, the Gas and even told people from Ivory Coast, Togo and others from other West African states help in the fight to defeat the Ashantis. The Gas always want to twist the history and make it appears it was the Gas alone who defeated the Ashantis. And they have been boasting of it meanwhile all history book indicate it was the total combine force of so many states and even outside the country with the British as their main Warrior and command. The fact that the war took place in the Ga land in Dodowa always create impressions among the Ga Adanbges that it was a war between Ashantis and only Gas which is very false. How can the Gas take glory of victory of war fought by virtually all the tribes in Ghana including the British and other member state outside Gold Coast. Thank Black Rasta for confirming that.
