This is a great conversation. As Kenyans we have seen a lot of whites coming to our country (as tourists, corporate executives, embassy staff etc) and never going back to Europe/America. We have also seen Asians come and settle here and start businesses that thrive, yet for some reasons our AA brothers and sisters are missing. Why is it that whites and Asians have a more positive picture of Africa than most African Americans? As a 50 year old Kenyan I’ve interacted with whites from the US, France and UK in my previous roles in Kenya but never met a single African American in Kenya. The fact that AA are now starting to venture more into Africa and starting to see the potential and opportunities here is extremely encouraging to see as an African. We will be happier when we see more of you here. Africa is calling you back home even if for a simple visit.

Keep it up Austin! You have no idea how much I am learning from your journey. I am strongly considering moving to Africa myself. America is not a place that supports and reinforces black community. It may be time for many of us to strongly consider moving. The first black country I visited was Fiji and they treated me with so much genuine love I didn't want to leave. You don't realize how bad you are being consistently treated even on the nuanced level when you travel to a place that sincerely values your blackness.

I realized I'm aging when I heard Auston say that he does not know who Idi Amin is. Amin ruled Uganda from 1971 to 1979. For those who are interested in reading about Amin's horror presidency in Uganda, I'd highly recommend a book entitled, "A State of Blood," by Henry Kyemba. The author used to be the minister of health during Amin's time. You may be able to get the book from your local library, mostly likely through an inter-library loan. But Amazon has some copies.

Once you get your geopolitical AND historical education, you'll be unstoppable. I'm booking my first trip to SA and Kenya in October. New investment opportunities, with the ability to influence the political realm in these countries is key to building global relevance.

I as person with love for the Passport Bros. agree. Brothers should travel, chase the opportunities not the women. As we speak the entire world is going thru the biggest disruption in human history. Africa has many needs that we have ability to grow a special legacy. Africa is our ancestorial home, but the legacies of The Lost Tribe is worldwide. This is also an asset that can be of aid to Africa in the future. So, whether it's Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, Southern Asia, etc..., brother you must do your due diligence and channels like this can help by providing feedbacks. "Passport Up!!"

The biggest mistake black American men are doing right now is going around the chasing women instead of using the opportunities they have to travel and build wealth.
