I used ORS for yrs, then bought the Africa's Best once when my pockets told me to lol. I thought it was just me being cheap was the reason that I thought my hair responded better to Africa's Best. 👍🏾
I've been using the Originals hair mayonnaise for almost a year now and I absolutely love it. I always add some honey, olive oil, and other essential oils to it as well
I haven't used the ORS.. but yes I used the rest of my African Best yesterday for the first time since I been natural...and this is the first time I actually had curl definition since I been natural... I will be buying a new container.
I use africas best for my twist outs, I don't rinse it out of my hair. I also add aloe Vera gel as well. My hair has been so moisturized and I just love it.
I tried the Originals ABHM and I remember not liking how my hair felt after rinsing it out. But I tried it during a time where I was still learning about my natural hair and I was not knowledgeable about how protein treatments work. I followed it up with a non-moisturizing conditioner so it didn't go so well. I wouldn't mind resisting Originals ABHM now that I have a good handle on my hair. Anyhow, thank you for comparing the two!
Girl I just had that problem too, it dried my hair, my twist were frizzy. Thanks to this I know I have to use moisturizing conditioner after, coz the leave-in wasn't doing for my hair.
I tried Africa best mayonnaise it do not work for my hair it depends on the texture of the hair but I like ORS products better thanks for comparison video.
I used to use ORS years ago and it did wonders and then for some reason... it seemed like the formula changed and after that... it was as effective. Now Im on Africa's Best.
Thanks for doing this video. Looking for something for my dry hair,(due to weather) and Google suggested this, and your video was suggested. Never heard of these products before excited to try it.
Okay so I watched this video back when you put it out and here I am again. You are the first person I think of when using products that we all used to use back in the day. Suave and V05 for example. So I finally did it. I used Africa’s Best today, left it on for 1 hr total 30min with a shower cap while cleaning around the house then used a steamer after. I believe it was ALove4Me who recommended a steamer with a protein tx, so I decided to give it a try. I was impressed! It was sooooo moisturizing. It didn’t even feel like I washed the product out after! Followed up with the LCO method. *sidenote: I also picked up Queen Helene’s cholesterol tx because how much you rave about it. Will try her out after finishing up with Africa’s Best. Thanks again for this review!
Ors is the best for me. I use Africa's best as a daily protein. I don't rinse it out. It's not strong enough for my hair. It helps a bit tho. When I don't feel like. Going through the deep protein of ORS.
Girl all that hair how would I know where this olive oil mayonnaise actually taking it from? And upto date? I used to use this with castor oil mix, it's awsome.
Just deep condition your hair with it. No need to add 10 extra steps and DIYs. It says right on the container "Place a plastic cap over the entire head, process under a warm dryer, heat cap, or warm towel for approximately 15 minutes.4. If heat is not available, cover the head with a plastic cap and let set for 45 minutes - 1 hour. 5. Rinse hair with warm water and proceed with styling"
annettemint ok. See I’m suffering from style manipulation in the front of my hair. I’ve tried regular protein treatments, but they aren’t restoring my curls. Short of cutting it, I don’t know what else to do other than the aphogee 😩Your hair reminds me of my own, so I figured I ask. Thank you.
cellyjohnson I have on how I use the green beauty channel’s protein treatment. It’s the truth!! My recommendation would be to switch to hydrolyzed wheat protein. Have you tried that?
annettemint I don’t believe so. I’ve used the Hi Propac line and the Palmer’s coconut line of protein treatment. I’ll look into hydrolyzed wheat though before doing the aphogee or possibly cutting.
I have used the aphogee on my natural hair when I was having breakage & it helped so much but I think it’s a product that helps more with breakage than restoring curls
