@@Eternal-Health hi, I currently suffer from extremely dry skin on my scalp and face to the point of forming scab like lesions that bleed and weep when trying to remove them I also get a major red rash around my beard area that is highly itchy and sensitive and when I shave it leaves red blotches but they usually disappear after a few hours, I have a fairly good diet but was a heavy drinker most of my life 17 to 63 any advice is appreciated currently I have given up during alcohol, thank you
Hypothyroidism ( underactive thyroid gland ) also causes hair loss. Women with hypothyroidism often get a receding and thinning hairline, outer part of the eyebrows disappearing, and eyelashes falling out too. These symptoms and puffiness in the lower cheeks near the jaw are often the first signs of an underactive thyroid.
I have hyperthyroidism I had hair loss, not extreme hair loss, I started a Supplement regime of Biotin, Selenium, Zinc and that helped a lot my hair is back to normal. I never knew about that ingredient she talked about that's in shampoo that's damaging to my hair
Funny I used pay big bucks perming to get those curls. Wish I hadn't tho because it stripped my natural hair color so I have to dye it just so it looks nice again 😢 still love the curls tho ❤
I agree. Although I would just straighten it myself with a flat iron. I learned to love my wavy hair and my husband likes it better “crinkly” as he calls it anyway! lol 😆❤️
Diet matters. And that being said, chemical shampoos, hair products, hairdryers and other heat tools ruin the hair. Once I stopped using chemical products, my hair has improved tenfold. I use 2 cups unscented castile liquid soap with one cup water (add essential oils you like 5-10 drops) or (add tea tree essential oil for dandruff) or (add a teaspoon of ACV if need clarifying) or (add 3-4 tbsp coconut milk for conditioning) gently stir and put in a bottle. (Make each desired shampoo or conditioner separately- example: don't add ACV with coconut milk). Or I use a shampoo bar from Clean and Sea or just a bar of Bronner's unscented. I am also plant-based --ten years now.
I’m in love with this woman lol 😂 She’s wise and very Intelligent and knows what she shares is true and good. As a healer myself I see the true light in all she says. She’s a blessing to you all.
Shampoo recipe: 1/2 cup coconut oil 1/2 cup castor oil (only buy in glass bottles, never plastic bottles; penetrates deeply) 10 drops Rosemary oil (stimulates scalp) Mix very very well Weekly massage into scalp Leave on as long as you can Wash out (possibly more than once) with warm water and your choice of shampoo (free of sodium laurel sulfate that kills hair follicals) Use shampoo that has a base of coconut oil and is sulfate free.
A few years ago I was making my morning green drinks from my garden. I developed a painful skin rash on my face along the jaw bone. My green drink was the only new thing which had changed in my routine. My dermatologist refused to acknowledge that my green drink was the reason to my suffering. I stoped making my green juice and over many months my painful rash resolved. I underwent allergy testing. It came back positive for nickel and cobalt, metal elements. I learnt that all greens have nickel in them from the soil. I was getting an explosion of nickel in those drinks. Now I can eat very little spinach, kale, brussels sprout or asparagus on my plate, I develop the same rash but less intense. I had a great big box in my garden with just asparagus which I can not eat anymore. Before me starting to drink those green drinks I had never noticed a sensitivity to nickel in foods. I knew from a young age that I could not wear fake jewelry made of nickel, my skin would brake open. An other piece of this puzzle was the sunshine. So if i drank my green juice and stayed home that day, I was not bothered by my rash. If I had the drink and went out exposed to the sun, I was immediately covered with this face rash. Eventually it was there all the time, nothing could calm down the rash until I stoped my green drink( spinach, kale, cucumber, celery, carrot and a banana) and it took many months to settle down. Hopefully my story can help someone figure out their own skin rash.
I am deathly allergic toNickel its in everything, I almost died from orthopedic implant that had i nickel; in it it took 4 years to get a diagnosis becauseI didnt have a rash.
Thankfully I don't get the rash but the positive side of your comment is how quickly effective the green drinks are. I usually feel that it takes the veggies a long time in making a difference but was wrong. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Lyme, cvid and my husband passing caused my hair loss and I'm sure age doesn't help either. However as my body is getting stronger my hair is growing and coming back.
This is so true! When they started to give my autistic son meds in 1-2 weeks his hair started to come out all on his pillow and bathtub. Nothing was changed in his life , His stress level the same and his diet the same but the only thing that was different was the addition of meds. I went back to the pharmacist and told him what was happening . He looked it up and said YES ! The meds they were giving for the side effects caused hair loss , I immediately stopped it and the hair loss stopped . My son was only about 20 at the time. How many people have died of heart attacks , or went bald etc due to the meds they were taking and never knew it . U see all the side effects on tv now on these commercials. Unbelievable how many people must of died etc from side effects of these meds and they attributed it to their own health when it was meds! I will not do anything without seeking the Lord for wisdom etc ! Do your homework people !!!
@@Franp60 I have too & the Paperwork from the Pharmacy says something like, "your Doctor Prescribed this Medication because they believe the Treatment outweighs the side-affects.
I had a low functioning thyroid when I started peri menopause. Increased meat and saturated fat. Cut out processed food and sugar. Same old story. Hair is coming back. Used castor oil too. And Rosemary to facilitate the regrowth.
@@carrier411Rosemary is actually one of the best herbs for hair growth. A quick Internet search will confirm that so I'm not sure where you got that information from.
@@m.e.p.b. all kinds of meat. But mostly beef. Slow cooked chuck and other tougher fatty cuts are great because you get the collagen and other nutrients from the connective tissues. My skin thanks me for that. Then medium rare fillet or other steak for the taurine and other nutrients that are cooking sensitive. I eat lamb and pork. Chicken and duck. I don’t limit the types. We have a steady supply of venison and I also get bison. All have different amino acid profiles. Wild game and grass fed have a better omega 3 to omega 6 ratio. I had to accept the fact that my adrenal system and my thyroid all needed saturated fat to function properly. Big change for me. This may not be true for everyone. For me, cholesterol is not the villain. Quite the opposite. My eyebrows were disappearing! That’s thyroid. Accelerating hair loss. Gaining weight around my waist and no where else. My diet changed all these issues. Good luck.
@@carrier411 to be honest, I used multiple modalities to regrow my hair. Castor oil, emu oil, rosemary, peppermint, derma rolling and occasionally used minoxidil. So I have no idea what did it. Maybe they worked synergistically.
Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against depression and anxiety. Saved my life.
Can you help with the reliable source I would really appreciate it. Many people talk about mushrooms and psychedelics but nobody talks about where to get them. Very hard to get a reliable source here in Australia. Really need!
Yes, dr.porassss. I have the same experience with anxiety, depression, PTSD and addiction and Mushrooms definitely made a huge huge difference to why am clean today.
I wish they were readily available in my place. Microdosing was my next plan of care for my husband. He is 59 & has so many mental health issues plus probable CTE & a TBI that left him in a coma 8 days. It's too late now I had to get a TPO as he's 6'6 300+ pound homicidal maniac. He's constantly talking about killing someone. He's violent. Anyone reading this Familiar w/ BPD know if it is common for an obsession with violence.
@@ITZSARA6 ok, thanks for sharing that. What's the name of a good dish that contains both? I can google the ingredients if I know the name of the dish.
It is best to wash out an oily mask out of the hair using an egg, specifically an egg yolk. Just don't mix it with water until fully lathering (emulsifying) the oil in the hair to avoid that eggy smell afterwards. And then follow up with a shampoo.
When my dad dropped dead from a sudden death when I was age 8 my hair started drop out I was told it was from stress. Several+ years later I just have fine hair unfortunately
taught my clients as a hairdresser to brush with our brush made of wooden spikes every evening 60-100 times with fantastic results it takes about 2 months then the hair comes back and the hair gets volume and the clients stop losing hair, the hair follicles need blood to stay and grow the best thing is that they just fall asleep and come back when you start brushing. then only herbs in the hair color and in products nothing else
I'm in my 70s and have hair loss from menopause and stress and now health problems. ....long covid. Watching this , I remember that my grandma always said that I should brush my hair 100 times a day. Also, to use vinegar rinses. We also used coaltar shampoo v occasionally. That's now banned.
Actually, constant hair manipulation usually causes damage and breakage, which affects length retention. Most hair specialists will tell you that the practice of brushing 100 times before bed is no longer recommended. Instead, you should focus more on scalp massage and stimulation bcuz hair grows from the scalp. And bcuz hair is essentially dead, brushing it does nothing more than alleviates tangles and distributes hair oils. I would recommend that you lightly oil your scalp at night or every other night, depending on how oily your hair is naturally and how often you wash it. There are many natural oils that are known to be nourishing for the hair and scalp. Heavier oils like olive, coconut, castor and sunflower can be used by those with thick hair or dry hair and scalps. And lightweight oils such as grapeseed, jojoba, argan and sweet almond for fine hair and scalps that tend to be oiler. After lightly oiling your scalp, flip your hair over and massage your scalp while your head is down. This helps blood flow to the scalp which encourages growth. You can use your fingertips but I like to use a handheld scalp massager with rubber tips. After massaging for about 60 seconds, flip hair back and use a wide tooth comb to detangle the ends of your hair. Then once again, flip hair over and use a brush (I recommend one with both boars hair and nylon bristles) to slowly brush hair from scalp to ends for about 30 seconds or so. This helps to distribute the oils down throughout the length of the hair to the ends. And lastly, pin hair up into a loose bun on top of your head. I like to do this at night so I can wash the oils out during my morning shower. So I will cover my hair with a satin bonnet, to keep oils from getting on my pillow. Or alternatively you can sleep on a satin pillowcase to reduce friction on hair. If you cannot use oils on your hair or if you wash your hair less often than every other day, you can still repeat those steps and omit the oils. It will still work using the natural oils from your scalp. Lastly, I like to use my own oil mixture as I've found it to be more effective. I use a blend of olive, coconut, sunflower, castor, jojoba, vitamin e (the red one), pumpkin seed and black seed oils. I also add 10+20 drops of peppermint, rosemary and sage essential oils. Then I'll add some fresh rosemary, hibiscus petals, cinnamon sticks, fenugreek seeds and whole cloves to the oil blend. I also like to take a 1/4 cup of coffee grounds (caffeine helps stimulate scalp for growth), tie it up in a stocking or a piece of cheese cloth, and put that in as well. I let it soak in a 32oz glass mason jar with a tightly screwed lid for about 4-6 weeks. Or if you're in a hurry, after adding the mixture, give the Mason jar a hot water bath on the stove for 30 minutes and let sit for 24 hours to completely cool before use. Once done, thoroughly strain the mixture making sure to drain all of the oil from the coffee grounds, and store in an airtight container in the fridge or a cool dark place. I know it sounds like a complicated process but that jar usually lasts me about 6-8 months or longer, so it's well worth the time and effort. I also use it as a hot oil treatment or add 2-3 tablespoons of the oil to my favorite deep conditioner before covering my head with a plastic cap and sitting under the dryer for 15 minutes. I do this at least once or twice a month and cleanse my hair using a 50:50 ACV and distilled water mixture and rinsing with cool water to close the hair cuticles. I promise you it works wonders, not only for accelerated hair growth, but also for soft, shiny hair.
And that’s exactly why I go very infrequently to Hairdressers. The whole place is a chemical bath - whether you are using toxic services or not. Immune disrupters…
i have a good head of hair and wash it in Sorbelene with a tiny amount of conditioner or a few drops of essential oil like citrus, rosemary or Ylang Ylang. Plus Once a week in the morning i put a tablespoon of light oil through it then wash it out that night, oil like Almond, Argan or similar viscosity. Cannot stop the grey but that is mainly stress🤕
I colored my hair from 45 till 62 when I became a grandma, coincidentally? I have quite thin hair on top which gets thicker when I take Biotin with a little collagen, Vit C and E. My hairdresser talked me out of using henna, she said it was a waste of time and money. I'm 68 and my dad was a farmer, he summer fallowed cropland, one field each year, now if they fallow at all its with chemicals but the land is not left to rest and regenerate. Dad also put hayland in for several years and rotated cropland into hayland or pasture. I avoid most vegetables due to finding they produce chemicals naturally that cause joint pain and digestive issues, recently I discovered I have histamine issues, another reason to avoid vegetation. My food eats my vegetation and has the digestive system for it.
Well, Henna is by far the best thing your hair can ever experience. I myself use Red henna (I am a red head), you have black too. Anyhow, it is very nourishing, has no chemicals - make sure the black henna is lead free because some can fake henna and add lead to it. The best is Henna from Yemen, so make sure it’s Yemeni. Now, your hairdresser said Henna is a waste of time and money and of no use so you continue to go to the salon and dye your hair and she can benefit from you :) My grandmother had beautiful black long hair till she reached 95 years old from Henna use :) So there you have it ❤
Buy henna powder online or indian store. Make tea or cofee mix this powder leave it for 1 hour . apply to hair once it get dry wash with mild shampoo and conditon if someone like black hair first day apply henna , next day apply indigo hair mask( indigo powder mix with filterd water leave it for 10 minutes , you can see it changed to navy blue colour , apply to hair once it dry take shower you need to repeat this indigo mask few times to get good black hair
Be careful though. Henna can also cause allergies. I am allergic to indigo colour. This will be present in henna colour mixes for brown or black colours. If you use convetiinal/chemical colours don't apply it directly on the scalp/roots. Use a brush and leave a gap of half a centimeter. It won't be noticeable. 🤗
@@lovesyah4618 true, although, when I've used it in the past, I left it on the hair for 2 to 3 hours, wrapped up with cling film and repeated the procedure after 1 week and then again after 2 weeks. It does build up on your hair over time and makes your hair thicker. It also depends which brand you use. I used one from the organic food store. I think it was called Logona. It had the painting of a woman with long wavey hair on the front. I also prepared the Henna paste with strong black tea or coffee. It adds to the colour. Tea for a cool, black shade, coffee for a warm, brown shade. I hope that helps.
Will you please create an Amazon store front affiliate and put your specifically recommended products in it??? It's hard to differentiate what you recommended even with a link, as Amazon includes other products.

My hair loss stopped 100% when I stopped dying it and use Humby hair bar shampoo and conditioner. I have all of my hair back and zero hair loss in the shower. My hair line went from a 1/2 in to a very thin line. I’m amazed!

I thought castor oil was synthetic but it's not. It used to be sold all the time at the supermarket, now I can only find it at the Chemist and it's expensive. Amazing.
I can easily find organic castor oil in dark amber glass bottles at my local health food store. Another great resource is the Queen of Thrones, Dr. Marisol.
There are natural ways to regrow even on a bald scalp like I did. I was bald for over a decade and now I am reversing that severe hair loss with simple tools and natty foods. I now help men get their high school hair line back on my channel regardless of the loss...
Great advice but it definitely omits the dangers of seed oil. Seems to be the cause of acne. Why would it not also be the cause of hair loss? Since most people are poisoning themselves daily with this substance, it might be a good thing to include in the talk.
Why does curly, silky hair turn straight and frizzy with decades of burnout , unsolvable(?) problems, sleep deprivation and traumata? Apart from thinning, falling out, getting very fragile, dry, that is.Despite almost stopped refined carbohydrates, gluten, chemicals and cow's dairy?I fear my hair roots' organs can't function and also don't get enough nutrients(?). About Cayenne pepper, with strong inner body/Liver heat-loss since 25 years ago, I am prescribed to not eat hot things at all. I do eat Cloves, some Ceylon cinnamon, some Garlic and some Ginger. Turmeric I don't suppose is heating(?). I'd be so grateful and glad for your answering help. : )
Went to hairdresser who used henna it my hair started looking worse and worse. Henna is very drying! I found another hairdresser who uses Kevin Murphy hair dyes and it repaired my hair. Kevin Murphy doesn't have any strong odors which is healthier for the hairdresser and their clients. The salon doesn't even smell like a salon...no strong odors and the coloring is awesome plus healthier. It's semi perm color but covers very well and lasts long time. Hard to find salons using Kevin Murphy brand. I guess they prefer to go with cheaper brands that aren't as healthy for anyone. I feel blessed finding my extremely talented hairdresser who cuts hair just as good as her coloring.
Henna is drying. But you can add olive oil/ yoghurt/ egg yolk to it. It conditions the hair and scalp beautifully. Another point is not to use shampoo when washing out henna. Just water. Shampoo a day later.
Henna destroyed my hair. Made it so thin after using it for months and when I tried another dye to make my hair lighter, my hair turned bright green because of the henna. Had to chop it all off
No seeds, nuts or fiber for me as I am strictly carnivore. BTW my hair was thinning to the point I was developing bald spots before I started eating only beef, bacon, butter, and eggs. It must be the high amounts of nutrients contained in my way of eating that brought back my hair. No more bald spots!

Hello Barbara could you provide insights into the auto immune alopecia areata? I have been suffering from this for the past 24 years… thanks for all your insights on general hair and scalp health!💝
A few days ago around most humid days of season I had a hair loss period along with autoimmune flare.. It could have been hormones though I felt like poor digestion was the case which may have arisen due to all factors mentioned in the video... Castor oil+ olive oil also I used to make this aloe hibiscus hair masks for summers massage worked like magic ✨🎩✨and one of these veggies called pumpkin and bitter gourd..
Barbara, I have been following you for a while and find your approach, science and common sense useful and refreshing. As an organic gardener, I raise my own vegetables for my family. As you stated in this video, our farming soil has depleted the vital minerals and nutrients essential for a healthy body. I am always looking for natural sources to replace those missing nutrients our bodies need. I know you have recommended Celtic salt in several of your lectures but I was wondering if you have ever considered Nigari? The research that I have done revealed that Nigari has over 40 of those missing vitamins and minerals that our food should contain. What are your thoughts?
hi very interesting video, i have thinning hair, so i shall have to try some of these tips, i have underactive thryoid, fibromyalgia, recently told i have osteoporosis amongst other things so i guess some of this could be a reason,.
Sorry. Can't agree with the legumes. They give me stomach issues. Lactic fermentation helps. But still must soak the beans 3 rinses and the last over night soaking. This helps remove the lectins.
Cooking thoroughly so beans are nice and soft, (after rinsing-can just add boiling water to the dry beans and let soak for an hour instead of soaking overnight), removes lectins to near undetectable levels so the whole lectin issue is complete nonsense mostly. Only relevant if eating beans raw and cracking your teeth on them which no one does.
All medications cause hair loss, I was told this by my specialist, especially the birth control pill and antidepressants, use a natural non chemical shampoo from the health food store such as Biological, really nice stuff, if you're vegan, you must supplement with B12 and dark leafy greens, Thankyou for this informative video*
