I lived in many African countries and I have to say people of Benin have the best mentality to modernise and be economically strong. Unfortunately not many African understand that mentality, intelligence is a much stronger asset than oil, uranium or any other ressources you can find under the earth.

We all are all struggling to understand you 😔 However, I want you to know that the ones lost are the 'African Americans' or Any African Race in the diaspora because....they lost a touch of our ORIGINAL languages and in most cases our culture too.. But... For Africans in Africa, we are still speaking our original and local languages regardless of the colonial tongues ... and that includes the Benin Republic president...he might be speaking French but he's still speaking his original language and it's part of his daily life even MORE THAN FRENCH ... Talon has succeeded in marketing his power. He has concentrated his efforts on turning the few dozen kilometers of beautiful roads and buildings adjoining Cotonou airport into a showcase that any visitor to the country cannot miss. Then, he paid a lot of money to his PR people to praise "the new Cotonou". And there you have it! Make no mistake about it.

Let's call a spade a spade and abandon our anti-development behaviour that in the past made us lag behind.
