Very beautiful . Can’t wait to visit Benin one day . As a Haitian my ancestors were literally taken from Benin and there’s actually a village named after Toussaint L’ ouverture and statue that sits in the center of the village in his honor can’t wait to visit his father was born in Allada, Benin . I know of several town in Africa named after Haiti. People always try and shun Haitians for practicing voudou, it’s our heritage. 🇧🇯❤️🇭🇹🤷🏽‍♀️

How does he go into the hearts of a country where like 400 years ago ,villagers were gathered and shipped as slaves to faraway lands. Africa forgets so soon. He may have good intentions but he should remember a king from Benin was forcifully exiled to Haiti and probably hanged.Am i right ?

I hope that all the stolen Benin artifacts & art are returned to its rightful owners and, land. I think the people should stand up for themself and, demand their art be returned to them. I don’t understand why other nations feel the need to retain them in their possession & profit from them instead of giving them back. Shameful!

The artifacts were stolen from Benin kingdom in Southern Nigeria while this is Republic of Benin a country that borders Lagos a state in Nigeria so they're different places.
