As native african, I can guarante that the DNA results fit exactly what we see in your face. All natives african could guess your tribe before having the results. We knew it for many years. We could not tell you before. Now, it's your pleasure to know by yourselves. We knew it many years ago. A native of Senegal in West Africa

I'm African American and constantly in the past I would have African natives approach me in America asking me if I was Nigerian. I would just say I was born in America but I'm still African. Years later after doing research and learning more about my great great grandmother I learned that her parents were sold as slaves in Virginia and transported to Mississippi to be slaves. The history of black people in Virginia between 1760 and 1860 were all descendants of the beautiful Nigerian people.

@Godslove316
@Godslove316 6 лет назад
Dr Gina, the Hausa people of Nigeria are NOT the business men and women of Nigeria. The Igbos of Nigeria are the backbone of industrial Nigeria. They are called the "Jews of Nigeria". They are highly and well known all over West African and Africa for their business abilities. The Hausa and the Fulani tribes are very similar in term of culture and values. They are known for being herds men of cattle and various livestock , the Hausa people are very involved in politics, they have been more Hausa presidents and head of States than any other tribes of nigeria. (The present President of Nigeria is of the Fulani tribe) Although the riches black man on earth is Hausa from Nigeria ( Aliko Dangote ), but that does not take away the fact that the Igbos of Nigeria are the backbone of industrial Nigeria. Beside being know for their business skills, they are very educated people, in many fields of education. By the way am not of the Igbo tribe of Nigeria.

Since most of these people are 85% West Afrikan you should be able to give them a list of their Nigerian, Ghanaian relatives. TrolandoTV what you really need is the tribe. The country is irrelevant because if the european imposed borders of the current countries. The tribe will identify the key cultural ties that were cut during the slave trade For e.g modern Ghana has more than 20 tribes some of which straddle the borders of neighbouring countries and to say you are from Ghana is not as useful as if you were told that you were Ashanti or Ewe or Dagbani etc hope this helps

So are different tribes basically like something you join, like a job title? Because Delano Little has exact ancestry with two different tribes in two different countries. I'm getting my African ancestry done as well and was just curious to anyone that knows how to explain this.

Sorry but Nairobi has 4 million people. New York City has over 14 million. A simple google search could have told you that.

Why don't you people be specific with the mtdna haplogroup? If you are subsaharan african, it's mtdna L. You have mtdna L0a, L1, L2, L3, L4, L5 and L6. In the horn of africa (Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea and Djibouti) it's 55% mtdna L and 45% M and N.

@Candyce Miller There's absolutely nothing offensive about saying you people. You people should not reduce everything to what is offensive in everything people say.
