Greetings and welcome to Heapaquatics the home of aquatic cinema
Female yellow lab at the latter end of holding fry, this is her first time holding so was left to spit in the main tank, there are some clips of the fry surviving it out in the rocks at the end of the video.
I feed these fish new life spectrum cichlid formula and vitalis green pellets.

Wow that was an amazing close up with the babies inside her mouth!!!How many survived from this??What do you think about my female marble Zebra that is still holding??Shoud I remove her to a tank by herself to spit the fry out or keep her in the big tank??It's the second time one of my mbuna cichlids holding.The first time back in June I didn't expect my yellow labido to hold in that young age and size and I thought it had something inside her mouth like food and rocks and I tried to remove it...she died 4 days after.It was so sad.I didn't know many things about African cichlids back then also.In two different situations 2 South American cichlids had something in their mouth ,first one a piece of a fish and the second a big rock and I thought something (they were ok both of the times after the removal of the objects) like that was happening...

At least a couple of my yellow labs are holding at any one time in the tank, they breed alot. There is normally a few survive off each batch. I thin the tank out every so often and sell some as I would get over run with them. As for your zebra I guess it's enterily up to you whether you remove it or not, remove it if you want alot of them or leave it if you only want a couple as there is always them couple of survivalists.

How you do maintain the fry fish from the other fishes away after she let it out?

If i specifically need them I remove females from the tank to a separate breeding tank, when I don't need them I allow them to spit in the tank, there's always a few survivors.

I have an albino and normal socolofi. If they breed will the babies be white or will they be born normal

It's impossible to make an accurate prediction of how hybrid fry would turn out.

You still can't predict the outcome of the fry. It will be socofoli, but it could take the colour of either parent or a mixture of both.

depends if the normal one carries the trait for albino. if not then it will be all normals carrying the trait for albino. if 2 of the fry were bred at an older age then you will get almost all albino
