@@AbbyNixon I don't know about Military benefits but retirement benefits such as Social security, 401K, IRA, taxable investment accounts you can still receive and have access to even if you renounce your US citizenship. Also many countries allow you to bank even without being a citizen, the US included.

Those of us who don’t yet have dual citizenship are a bit limited in what we can do when we for example visit the country(ies) of our background. I’ll give you a little example. My mum is from Ghana, my boyfriend is also from Ghana and lives in Ghana, but because I’m not a Ghanaian citizen (yet), when i want to withdraw money in Ghana i have to send money to my boyfriend and have him withdraw the money for me so i can avoid charges (they might only be a few £ but they add up eventually). If he’s not around I have to find someone else and send the money to them to have them withdraw it because i can’t open a mobile money account. It quickly becomes frustrating

@@danielkofiboadux that's not true bro. Please try and give your viewers the correct info. Gambia doesn't ask anyone to renounce their citizenship if they want Gambian citizenship. It's the other way round for Gambians in some countries for example when a Gambian wants German citizenship then the German authorities would ask you to renounce your Gambian citizenship. You can obtain Gambian citizenship through birth, descent, marriage and naturalization. Renouncing your other citizenship is an individual choice but is not a law neither a requirement. I'm from Gambia and I know what I'm saying. So please research it!

I lived in Uganda I've been to Rwanda as well I think Rwanda is a better choice. It's very beautiful very clean friendly people. Uganda has plenty of friendly people and amazing beaches. Rwanda literally tops the destination for everything. and the food oh my goodness I gained some weight but I'm working it off.

You are right concerning Gambia's dual citizenship. I can see some people are getting confused on the issue. A Dual Citizenship is allowed for only Gambia citizens to hold other citizenship without renouncing their Gambia citizens. But a black American or British without any Gambian root have to renounce their first citizenship before acquiring Gambian citizenship.

The constitution says that anyone bone outside The Gambia which has Gambian roots as well as Gambian citizens can hold their dual citizenship without renouncing. Those who have no connection to The Gambia Root have to renounce their first citizenship before they can become Gambian citizens.

For African nations i want to repatriate to a nation that is close to my native land Biafra which is located in Nigeria. Nigeria is getting too unsafe for my liking so I’m really not sure that I can move there. The nations I am looking at are Ivory Coast 🇨🇮, Cameroon 🇨🇲, Gabon 🇬🇦, Ghana 🇬🇭, and the Republic of the Congo 🇨🇬 (Brazzaville). Most of these are French speaking nations and even though I am not fluent and I only speak English I have been learning French for my whole life in school so it shouldn’t be too hard or difficult for me to assimilate and live in these Francophone nations. After all some Nigerians live in China, Russia, and Ukraine. I like to challenge myself as I have only been speaking English all my life. First, to be an expat does not even require you to become a citizen of anyplace. More important issues are, 1. is it rule of law state with an independent judiciary. People are the same anywhere and the law and access to courts are very important. 2. The corruption issue, which is a problem in a lot of places throughout the world, 3. How long has the country been a democracy, 3, how stable is the currency, 4. Does there monetary system allow you to keep American Currency without forcing conversion 4. Is it technologically advanced enough for you to easily adapt 5. How long ago was there the last coup or civil War (REAL IMPORTANT). 6. Are the people very violent when political or natural disasters happen, 7. Do they like Americans, 8. How respected is the American Consultant in case you get into trouble, 8. What is the court system like , 9. How stable is the Banking System, 10. even if you are retired, is the economy on average growing beyond 4% of their real GDP per year 11. Are there rare diseases still prevalent that an American might be more susceptible to, such as Tetse Fly, Malaria AND Polio. 12, you are going to get sick, everyone does, so how is the health system and do they have modern drugs in the pharmacy that is not counterfeit drugs 13. What are your rights if placed under arrest. 14. How regular are the power outages, 15. What is the homicide rate? I could do this for another hour, but you get the point, hell you can learn how to speak French or Portuguese, what you want to avoid is being kidnapped or in the middle of an ethnic tribal conflict, gang-raped during a long walk or set up by the cops to get money out of you or discovering your house in the middle of a civil war boundry.

This is very informative. I'm looking into Kenya,Uganda, Tanazania and Ghana. I'm into audio recording sound production and voice over content. These are countries that have their own native languages however they are also english speaking countries and I want to find out if any of these countries have a decent imprint in the entertainment industry so that I can start my own production company. I plan to make my first trip next year(2021) to Kenya and hopefully Uganda. I need all the information I get so that I can make a solid choice to make the right move when that time does come.

Just because you are Gambian that does not make you an expert because I have seen some Gambians spreading false narratives as well. Anyway, that is not to say you are not correct.
