She has to be one of the most versatile vocalists ever. Regardless of what genre of music you are into Lisa's voice is everywhere. And this solo effort by her shows exactly why.
OK Faye, one way or another I'll get you to watch the full-length documentary '20 feet from Stardom", featuring Lisa as well as some other past&present back-up singers. It includes a long segment about Lisa, including clips from this performance and others. The documentary won an Academy Award. there really is a lot of material in this documentary that's relevant to quite a few of your videos.
So amazing. She should have gotten so much more love for her music. I love that she was featured in the movie "20 feet from stardom" along with some other unsung heroes of music over the years. Highly recommend that film as well as her own music
This is definitely back in the day, R&B soul singers could sing their asses off. Hit every note with perfection.. unfortunately in the Black American community in terms of singing soul and R&B etc.. they don't sing like that anymore.. they can't.
@@tonywhite2647 I'm sorry, R&B is gone.. the youngsters don't know how to sing. That's a fact. You can disagree or not.. but the facts don't lie. R&B singers of today don't lie, where they at? Don't sit up here and Argue with me on the internet. Where are they!
