It is. None of these people legally immigrated. They just showed up with their hands out, burdening our already frail economy, mad because we can't spoil them with a brand new life... As if any of us are that well off here to begin with... It's sick.
The major language here, in this country, is English. *YOU* came here, and *YOU* chose to stay; *YOU* not being able to understand the language isn't my problem, it's *YOURS* . Adapt or leave.
This is America and we speak English here. Maybe you should have thought about this before traveling halfway across the World? Not the brightest or best.
@@JPnielsenI’m confused overall. My parent’s grandparents immigrated here in the 1920s-1930s. You were required to have a job, place to live, and some money to get by. If you didn’t meet these requirements you were sent back.
They don't appreciate it & despise you even more the "nicer" the US is/more free stuff they're given - thing is, they're only partially at fault. How can you respect someone that doesn't even respect themselves (US as country with these loony policies)?
"French is first diplomatic language." No, it's not. Despite the name, French is not the diplomatic lingua franca of the world. English is, and she's in a native Anglophonic country. She speaks English, she has no right to compel the official use of French.
If where they supposedly fled from is so terrible you would have thought they would be grateful for what they are offered which they aren't even entitled to at all in fact
So maybe don't go halfway across the world to a country that would have no reason to have FIVE HUNDRED DIFFERENT TRANSLATORS! OR just learn the language of the place you're going to!
Imagine coming from a obscure place with a population of maybe 100-150 people who speak a unique language then get mad when heading to a different place and there’s no translator for your obscure language
Why wouldn't she expect this? You americans were doing everything to lick black's asses for 150 years. Whatever they tell you - you bend. You'll bend on this one too. Because deemuhkrahsee is your greatest strength (meaning you're completely atomized)
@igniskitsune887 I thought I understood the depths of human stupidity. But reading your comment showed me that it gets worse. And I get it, they're entitled, and arrogant. But I'm one of those black folks who once believed Africa was a utopia for us black folks. I was proven wrong and this cements how wrong I was. I need to process this.
Which is easier: Having an entire population of 400,000,000 people 500 different languages or having .0000001% of that population learn 1 language? Pretty simple answer to a pretty simple question.
The entitlement is out of the roof here: "you have not excuse whatsoever?!" said from the lady with Africa's shaped earrings and a necklace of garlic (to fight the evil spirits, I guess?). Well, that is true: there is no excuse for importing so many illiterate people that clearly would never be able to work and integrate in the recipient societies - and I said that as a migrant myself: on top of having to learn and study for my job, I had to speak English well above what was taught me in school and I needed to study German on my own (try that, if you think your language is hard!). Never ever for a single instant it dawned to me that I was to expect - much less demand with an angry tone -, that the countries giving my opportunities were to adapt to me and speak my native language instead of the logical way around that!
So... people who can't speak the _lingua franca_ of international trade (some of whom are also completely illiterate) gathered the resources and connections to cross multiple countries (with a variety of disparate languages), then an ocean, then more countries with a different language altogether - while wearing garlic around their necks - only to show up here and demand translators, lodging, food, medicine, and a stipend. Who told them this could work in the first place? Seems there's no trouble getting _that_ message translated. And again, Why are we listening to someone who's WEARING A GARLAND OF GARLIC?!?!
It’s so funny to me that these people are so obsessed with bringing their home country to America but when you tell them to go live in said country it offends them gravely 😂
500 languages for one continent shows that they couldn't even band together and get a Common Language through all the tribes so instead they just decided to keep on fighting and killing😂
We need to make English the national language. This is the only way we're ever going to even have a chance at uniting the nation. We can't keep using our tax money towards dividing the country.
3:21 " First language of diplomacy is French " That was true during the days of the Berlin Conference of 1884. It is evident by the fact that there is a huge number of French loanwords in Diplomatic lingo. However it has ceased to be true for decades now. Besides France and the poorest among poorest African countries like DRC , Burkina Faso, Nigér and Burundi and their handful of erstwhile colonies like Haiti no one speaks French no more. Before it was mandatory for diplomats to learn French. Now you can work in Department of State all your life without knowing any French besides few loanwords that has became part of Diplomatic lingo like coup or entante . What is this lady even saying ?
The USA standard for LEGAL immigration is that you learn English before coming. It is NOT our responsibility to provide translation services. You want to be an American? Put in the work first.
I was born in US. But my parents are from Nepal. And I know so many of my second and third and even few first cousins who are doctors, engineers , scientists in Nepal. They have to get a respectable score in IELTS to prove their English proficiency before they arrive here. One of my cousins who got eventually selected for PhD in Biotechnology from Dartmouth got his Student Visa rejected the first time because he scored 5 out of 9 on IELTS. So he was conversational but not proficient enough. So why cant we as a country apply this same strict criteria to our asylum seekers that we do for legal migrants who have skills and expertise that we need ?
Fun fact: If you learn English everyone can understand each other. Thats why it's the national language. How pissed off would Mexicans be if there were hoards of homeless Americans telling them they need to learn English?
Show up unannounced and not just ask but scold "why you don't have a translator for me? why you don't have a bed ready for me? why you don't have the food of my culture? no excuse, do better." Side note: what's with the reef of garlic around her neck? I wonder if politician translates to vampire in swahili.
"NYC you need to do better!" NO!! YOU need to do better! If you're going to visit or migrate to another country with a different language, either educate yourself in that language enough to get by or arrange to have someone (paid or family/friend) who can speak the language. No one has a "right" to come here! No one owes anyone anything!! I'm from the USA and am NW European by ethnicity, I would never dream of visiting India or Mongolia or Indonesia without learning some of the language or arranging to have someone interpret for me. If I couldn't manage that, I wouldn't travel/migrate there. Terrible, appalling attitude towards someone offering you opportunities. You don't take a generous offer and then ask for more! If the offer doesn't benefit you as it is, then don't take it!
You mean to tell me that you can't speak a single common dialect and you travelled clear across the globe? How do we know they even want to be here? Maybe when they can speak, they'll tell us they were sold to this country? WTF?
There really should be a law where you can’t become a US citizen without being fluent in English. English classes must be required in order to become a citizen. You shouldn’t be allowed to work here if you can’t speak the language.
