Im married into a Nigerian family, my husband is 1st gen American. There are so many nuances with moving to America. Honestly I feel like its best to just stay in your native country unless you are able to access top tier resources by being an immigrant. My in laws struggled awfully. They brought the children but they were parentified which is equally as damaging as leaving them with relatives back home. Its just not worth it. Some people are aware of what they have to deal with but I think so many people move abroad with too much idealism and honestly, as much as its not discussed, I think alot of Africans are trying to move away from their families because families give you roles, many of which you dont ask for. Its a serious topic for sure.
Thank you very much for the great and comprehensive comments. I appreciate. I am also sincerely grateful for your visiting the channel and viewing the video.
In one of your videos you tell about the importance of moving abroad, but every other video after that, you discuss why you should not move abroad. Your main idea seem to be inconsistent.
If you carefully listen to these videos, you will discover there are no inconsistencies in these videos. The same thread actually runs through these videos if you calmly follow these videos beyond the titles. Even the videos you mentioned on MOVING ABROAD only gave some fundamental reasons and conditions under which MOVING ABROAD may be important. And, for example, even this one on AFRICAN PARENTS ABROAD... does not discourage moving abroad. My videos neither encourage nor discourage moving abroad. My videos on migration only gives information and ideas to assist migrants, intending migrants and their families as well as social networks make inform decisions to minimise risks/problems often associated with migration and enjoy all the opportunities and benefits of migration. This is the mindset that should guide your viewing the videos. No inconsistencies. Information and advice to achieve beneficial, sustainable and excellent migration are the reasons for the videos. Not to discourage migration. And not to push people into careless and perilous migration. Thank you very much for your comment and observation. I appreciate your visiting the channel and viewing the video.
@@olayinkaakanle4582 the information is priceless but I’m looking more at your thought process to find out what’s the solution. There appears to be no solution.
@@olayinkaakanle4582 and many places in Africa, survival supersedes social etiquette. The African psyche is unique and not quite understood. But because the behavior is driven by survival is pretty much predictable. What social etiquette would you apply to the informal country?
