The African Youth Survey 2020 offers what we believe to be an unprecedented foundation for a better global understanding of an all-too-often misunderstood part of the world: sub-Saharan Africa.
The interviews in this survey were designed to measure the principles, attitudes, concerns and aspirations of 4,200 of sub-Saharan Africa's youths aged 18- 24 who reside in the major urban centres of 14 African nations: Congo-Brazzaville, Ethiopia, Gabon, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Togo, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
For all the melodious variety of their responses, the thousands of young African voices fall into harmony on one clear and resounding note: the 21st century will be theirs and will go down in history as the African Century.
