Dunlop kindly sent me the new trailmax raids so I thought id let you guys know my thoughts ... picos mountain trip ... social media Instagram .. twitter .. Facebook .. Dunlop ..
The chook track looks like our paved roads in Australia. I've just completed a 1500km run on my 2023 klr 650 adventure over two days. I'm looking for new tyres. These are high on my shopping list. Great video.
Great video thank you for posting it, it would be nice if you do a comparisent to Pirelli Scorpion tires. Could you please share the location of the green lane you did, it looks really good
Sounds like you like the tyres!!. I've just fitted them to my T7, done about 40 road miles and a gentle green lane...so far so good! If they are as good as the Pirelli Scorpion Rally str's in the wet on the road I'll be happy! Cheers Steve
Yes share more, especially about their off-road perf, these are very new and very little info on them online still unfortunately. I wanted to get this front but they super expensive so I'm getting k60.ranger
They look good. My Trailmax Missions lasted amazingly but showed their weaknesses in a couple areas for me. The Missions' hardness loses grip on cold, wet roads and they don't clean well and are surprisingly noisy. Seems with clever design and silica in the compound maybe these have fixed those issues for me. Dear Dunlop, please send me a set and I will be happy to put them on.
Missions are like 70/30, raids are way more off-road worthy, with soft compound but tire life won't be comparable obviously. Raids are imo the least aggressive knobbies
I have personal setting set on each of my two bikes. They are if I am riding then the settings are established by my level of hang over. This controls the throttle hand and how quickly it moves.
Excellent video!!! You got to love the AT. Quick question, can you tell us where these green lanes are? They look amazing and not too difficult either… 😊
Great review, loving’ those tyres and my next set. Gotta ask, is the baffle in or out as exhaust sounds great, just had my Fuel Diablo delivered today! Cheers. Paul. 😎🏍️
Enjoyed that Fish, loving the lane riding i reckon your better than you think mate, unless your just kidding ;-) ;-) saw you riding with Richy and Pete that was something else too ;-) Ride Safe Mr B \m/ PS Hows Tinder going ???????? lol
Enjoyed that thanks and now I’m going to order some for my 890 adventure, would you mind telling me where that lane is I struggle finding any decent lanes in Lincolnshire
Like the look of those tyres cool vid I’m still on my standard Pirelli scorpion. Str have you tried them and do you think the Dunlop is better cheers keep making the shows
I like him but I absolutely disagree on that, it's basically bs, especially for inexperienced riders. Ride onroad pressures if u like to slide around and pickup ur bike often. Otherwise I recommend "compromise" pressures or lower pressures for longer /difficult off sections and have small 12v tire pump with u. Not that big problem. I don't use pump, once went home with 1bar in front(lowered for muddy stuff), all was fine
@@Angry-Lynx I have a At1100, heavy bike with tubes! I did my 1st gravel track with road pressures! Horrid experience! My suspension was out, so had main dealer put it to factory specs, both front and rear was out! Most riders have said to put the front down from 36psi to a min of 22 and the rear from 39psi to 30psi! But again, it depends on the bike, the tyres, terrain and rider!
you mentioned road pressure several times.....do you actually air your tires down off road on that big bike? I mean to notice a difference in traction you'd probably have to drop down so low you'd be pinch flatting or denting a rim.
What tyres did you use on picos trail and how do they compare? Im doing picos trail next year on a v85tt and am thinking of fitting trailmax raids. Picos looks quite loose on that first section.
Why buy an Adventure bike if you aren’t going to put tyres like that,or even more aggressive ones. I always did on the large bikes I owned Honda XLV750,R80GS,Triumph Tiger Trail 750 and R100GS. If possible, can you get hold of a Triumph Scrambler 400 with a good set of off road tyres.
