It was all love in Costa Chica. Our new friends welcomed us with warm hospitality as we learned about the Afromexicano culture on the coast.

Guerrero was not an elected president, he was president by a coup, his presidency lasted for only 8 months, he was betrayed by the Creoles, his own blood line. Even today, modern day historians debate if his presidency was even legitimate. The official name of the state of Guerrero, is Estado Guerrero de Juárez. Benito Juárez is the National hero of Mexican presidents. Juarez is the only full Native from the Zapotec tribe to be the President of a country in the Americas. The name of the state of Guerrero was changed in the honor of Juarez. Being creatures of habit, it's still just called Guerrero. The African is only 1.4 of a population of over 130 million in Mexico. The USA likes to talk these regions up like its Africa, but the African is the minority. The combined Asian population, is overwhelming compared to the Africans. The Afros are concentrated in certain areas, but they are definitely the minority. The Indeginous, Asian, Meztizo populations, is overwhelming compared to the African. These ppl r so obsessed with skin color and race, they don't have the capacity to grasp the science and they lack the capacity to be respectful of others place in world history. The Black ppl from Africa don't do this, they are very respectful of others contributions to world history. Only the USA Black culture vultures do this, it's pathetic! The African is also the minority in South America, the combined Asian, Indeginous and Meztizo is also overwhelming in South America. The USA is such a bust with skewing world history.

@@Tropicalartpagan Blacks are not indigenous to the Americas, you have to understand that the reason a group of people may look black is because of the amount of Homosapien DNA they possess, they certainly aren't African, what makes you African is having recent ancestry there like the majority of Slave descendants, you have to understand once upon a time there were multiple human races that mixed to create modern races, thus even though two black people may look the same they genetically may not be related at all, same goes for Indigenous American groups.

I love how the internet / modern technology, is being used for good! It opens up secrets that let us know how black people live/lived in other parts of the world, that you would have never known.❤🎉
@carladavis308

@cplhazard2113 you need to educate yourself before you try to teach others. The people that are featured are mostly of African descent. And they will tell you so. Spain brought in slaves and workers of various ethnicities. These are mostly their descendants. Many are mixed with the indigenous, Spanish and French. There are also other Black communities that where founded by escape slaves from the U.S. because Mexico freed and outlawed slavery before the U.S. And after slavery more moved there.

These types of things need to be taught at an earlier age. Idk how you lived in Mexico a whole year and didn’t get any inkling about this. Black Americans need to start questioning everything, everywhere you go in the world there is always a group of people somewhere tucked away who look similar to you phenotypically!

This probably comes from the slave trade. And then after. The Spanish over lords taught the people that they were less than. People where taught to hate and be ashamed of there native American and African blood. The people that where mixed and could pass didn't even teach there children about it. And many where the most prejudice.

Now that’s a damned lie. Afro Mexicans have been ostracized in Mexico and you know it. Heck! They weren’t even included in the census til a few years ago. My mestizo Mexican gf was counseled by her grandparents before leaving Mexico to the USA …to not mix with Blacks when they get there. And when her sister..who was the lightest in complexion of the 5 children her mother had ..married and had kids with an African American.. they disowned her! One has only to look at how Celia Cruz (singer from Cuba) played deplorable roles on Mexican TV to see how Mexicans view black people. Always a witch or some heck! Plus..Remember LA Council description of the Oaxacans? Los feos..Who do Mexican Americans side with against African Americans in prison? The Aryans. If you’re not prejudiced..you won’t be offended. Facts are facts. Look it up!! It’s not a secret. Go to Vera Cruz too…and Guatemala, Honduras, Roatan, Nicaragua, Equador, Peru. Black folks tend to be on the coasts .. even in Argentina. We love you cousins. Stay strong!💪🏾💪🏿💪🏽❣️
