@@ljeans531 Most judges dont even read the damn warrants, Last Week Tonight had a great segment where they pointed out that like 90 something percent of warrants are approved by judges within 60 seconds of being filed.

@@iesika7387 Yeah, because police are considered public figures, which makes defamation be held to a higher standard. Also, what you say has to be false. He didn't claim anything false in the video. Being made fun of for what you actually do is not defamation. If it were, comedians would all have to stop.

A few points for clarification: The background is that Afroman's house got burglarized, and he filed a police report for insurance claim. He followed up with the report, and they got annoyed and said they would "address it." Then the raid happened. Kidnapping was there for a "no knock" warrant. If it was just drugs they couldn't have just busted in. He never got the report. Civil asset forfeiture is worse than you think. You have to sue in civil court to get your assets back, which costs money. The police know that for less than $10k, most cases will not end up in court. The Institute for Justice does some great work in regards to asset forfeiture. Also, Steve Lehto YT channel has some great videos on the subject.

You gotta watch the second song he made about this lemon pound cake. It’s also pathetic that the cops are now trying to sue him because they are hurt. The raid came about because Afroman had his house broken when he filed a report the cops didn’t take it seriously and he kept calling the police to get a police report for insurance and complaining about how it was handled. That is what led to the police raid

We he thought process for the sheriffs was simple: “we won’t ever be held responsible for things we do and we need to make people feel like our military tactics are warranted. Let’s find a non white person who will def have money that lives in our jurisdiction and just say we have reason to believe they’ve done shit. Let’s say kidnapping and drugs cause we won’t find kidnapping victims or evidence but it’ll look more serious and we will probably find some small amount of drugs and we can just take their money and shit for ourselves- I mean the department.” TL;DR is that ACAB

It's one step further than that. Afroman was robbed shortly before this incident and needed a police report about it for insurance. The cops kept refusing to give him one. He was calling the department once a day asking when they'd get around to it and they got pissed off. Afroman's convinced they were hoping if they busted his door down he'd "look threatening" so they could shoot him, but he wasn't home - just his wife and kids. So they just wrecked his shit and stole $400.

This happened in Ohio in Adams county. My sister lives next door and called him and told him his house was being raided. He was on tour when this happened. They never gave him a reason.

It's standard procedure for the Adams County Sheriff's department not using K9 units for seachsing hidden victims or drugs and disconnecting security camera's.
