AFROPUNK and Shopify came together to launch the Black Fashion Accelerator in 2022. A 6 month program that identified 9 exceptional entrepreneurs from the AFROPUNK community with the aim to give under-resourced, yet undeniably talented entrepreneurs the tools they need to succeed in their creative business.
The accelerator equipped the participants with key expertise in areas including e-commerce, manufacturing, operations, financing, merchandising, marketing and partnerships. As part of the program, the founders had access to mentors, including Chris Bevans, founder of Dyne Menswear. We sat down with Chris to answer some of the founders most pressing questions.
