Great bike! It's a miracle that you even got it to work after 11 years. There's a good chance it will run smoother if you clean the carbs ultrasonic. Btw. Slightly push the kickstarter up& down until you feel pressure, then get it back up, and kick like a man! 1-3 times and it fires! Good luck & have fun!

you should (cold) start a TT600 by NOT touching the throttle at all and using full choke. Unless it's a Summer's day, then use 3/4 choke. Once it fires a bit, then u can usually easily start them by repeating the 'No throttle/full choke kicks' If you flood it a bit, by moving the throttle with your hand, as u seem to be doing..Then, just kick it over using the Hot-Start method. (open throttle 1/8th) Generally, if you kick it over using big kicks (wearing a sturdy boot) and you have a fairly un-modded exhaust, they are EASY to start! BUT..you must get a manly, big kick to start them and this takes getting used to (drop the body weight into the kick if you can) Your kicking is 85% there. You don't need to use the kick-stand to launch off from. I've always stood normally. (i'm under 5ft10" and weigh 78kg)
