After 220 years, two brothers finally found the treasure of Oak Island You Can Also Watch: -Man Walks 20 Miles To Work Until One Day Cop Follows Him And Sees Why • Man Walks 20 Miles To ... #did_you_know #viral_stories
@@chriscrocker6783 they've found quite a bit of history before the discovery of the treasure chamber. Infact, I'd say they've accomplished more in the last 10 years than most people will in their entire life
@@blaydetroiani232 yeah they happen to find an ancient sword that no one else did with 200 years of Excavating? Sure they did. And then the map? So-called expert obviously was paid by them
@@Vogurt being paid $100k per episode you're right. They have found millions...in the form of history channel checks. The history channel is desperate for content and people who buy in can't admit they've been duped.
These brothers are very crafty. The only people ever to MAKE MONEY from oak island. Ten seasons later and we are still watching like absolute mugs hoping they find treasure. The truth is the treasure is lying in the lagina’s bank accounts.
It was not the brother's. There is no claim that they alone searched. If you watched and paid attention there were several searchers who tried and died trying . Blankenship was an active in the TV series followed by his son before and after he passed.. it's been lots of different people who have searched. The Laginas are the most resent and very successful.
If the treasure is of biblical proportions, then maybe the finders, the Lagina Bros, are also of biblical proportions and are actually 4 or 500 years old!
The equivalent of Geraldo Rivera’s ( 2-hour live tv special turned into a 10 season tv series ) “Vault of Al Capone.” There’s NOTHING THERE, folks. It’s the TV series that’s made them millionaires not any alleged treasure.
The drains, channels, sea grass, coconut fibres, and coffer dam, found on the beach was a system for concentrating salt sea water and collecting it in a pit where it was used to supply evaporation trays for making sea salt to salt cod. It's called 'lixivation' . Sea salt was preferred by some as it has different properties. The money pit was a water well dug by hand. The log platforms were the staging floors used during digging. The sealing with clay and more cocunut fibre, and charcoal, was to enable ventilation by the draft from a stove which was moved down as progress was made. A chimney was made from logs as well, between floors, perhaps a vertical wall off to one side. The well may have been abandoned for the same reason as now, sea water ingress. Salt fish was a big business, especially since Church prohibition against meat an fridays. Templers were big buisness men or backers of enterprises like this. Gasper Cortreal named the area 'Terra Nova de Bacallau' in 1400's. The Roman sword is a plant, you can get them on the internet. People obsessed with treasure needed backing, so they planted, or exagerated finds. There is detritus from history, things lost or thrown, down the abandoned well, old books, etc. Anyway I'm not wanting to convince anyone, read all the books, read about lixivation, well digging, salt fish trade, etc and draw your own conclusions.
Nailed it. Yes more people need to understand the times and the Salt Tax. Just like doors. When your house was taxed on the number of doors. People started making windows bigger. It's sad that history is lost by the "History Channel" promoting these two extortionist brothers. Neither is an archeologist or treasure hunter nor did either make 1 dime as the above stated.
@@chucknorris277 That's true but I don't dismiss them for that. I have followed and really enjoyed the series, but I think it's a shame that proper archeology has not really been done, although how much was possible after all the gross excavations is debatable. If you take my comments into consideration and read all the books about it, including the history of salt production from sea water and the salt fish trade, you may come to a similar conclusion. I'd welcome some archeological/historical investigation which is not based on 'finding gold and treasure' . That would be the real key that unlocks the secrets of Oak Island !
@robinwood2861 I referred to my app and noticed that it was the wrong app, discovery + hasn't caught up with the history Channel app yet. I've been watching the show since day 1!
Seem that nobody cares. The name of the brothers is also pronounced incorrect. Which means they have never watched a single episode of the show. And the title was totally misleading. I could not help myself but give them thumb down.
There is no treasure.... season 10...what hav they found...wood....mud...water...rock...lead cross...ox shoes... metal....oh some traces of gold.i would say this was left traces of mining....No one would burie treasure so deep and put water traps etc come on get real...The Luna Brothers...you mean The looney brothers
What the heck is going on? The description says they found the treasure? I watched it from beginning to end? Obviously, that is not the case... just wasted my time.
Their table of trinkets and junk that they found all laid out on that table sort of reminded me of thousands of tables that I have saw over all my years of looking at yard sales
One thing for sure; the number of commercials we are subjected too has become ‘cringe worthy,’ not just with this program but across the ‘we paid’ to view spectrum!
You also paid to make this post. And I paid to read it. That said, I agree the commercials are often cringe worthy. And yet we pay to have them forced on us. Thankfully I can press a button on our systems controller and skip most of them.
I'm so glad I watched this video to find out that they don't know anything more than I do clearly said they found the treasure I thought it was a cursor to the next season
Why? Would you like to watch me wander around in my backyard saying I think there's ten billion dollars buried in my backyard I'm going to dig for years and never find it but I'm going to get paid by Hollywood to make a TV show about it what did you like about that show you like watching men dig around in mud they never did anything they never found anything I think they found a steak knife from from like 1975 if they don't make anymore yes I'm making that up and I'm being an asshole but what was the point of this show 0.8 just another Hollywood production with actors
@@angelamartin7535 yeah I watched the show that's why I wanted to see if the words in the title after 222 years they finally found the treasure just another flat out lie how can you explain that where's the treasure they never brought up the fact that the title was a lie just to make you watch this video and then you have to think G what else are they lying about maybe they find some interesting things but you know what still a Hollywood production and still no treasure found when they said they found the treasure I don't play with Liars
It is the show that I love to hate. I can only watch it "recorded" so I can skip the commercials and skip the re-telling of previous episodes that they endlessly play to fill the timeslot.
The brothers are smart, well educated and had successful, well paying professional careers. It's no surprise they retired early having planned for a comfortable income while also having forethought to also set aside seed money to start their next career employed as Oak Island "treasure hunters." This is where a creative plan (scheme) was hatched to remake a defunct "money pit" into an elaborate "money making pit" blended with modernised sensational "Indiana Jones" frills now including, a deadly curse, Vikings, Templars, Marie Antonette and the History Channel. This show is way more than to bothers chasing childhood dreams of "treasure adventures" on Oak Island. The point of my comments is the Curse of Oak Island and its treasure hunt is a crafty scheme dreamed up by the brothers and the producers of a popular TV series. However, unlike the several prior "money pit" schemes, this treasure hunt hasn't turned deadly AND is making them money, rather than spending into bankruptcy. Its good tv entertainment and my hat goes off to them so long as it doesn't hurt anyone or victimise its audience.
The story needs to be updated. I enjoyed hearing this. I have watched Oak Island since the beginning. However, I hope Rick and Marty nor the McGinness family watch this. Pronouncing their last names wrong is quite disturbing. Gary was a marvelous addition to the family. I watched his treasure hunting days before Oak Island. He has the ability to find a needle in a haystack. Everyone has an important role in this project. They all have taken treasure hunting to a new level. Kudo's to each and every one of them.
At least this video has a better narrator than the show 🤣 If I hear... "A RoCk?! Could it be... the Arc of the Covenant?!" "WoOd?! Could this mean that pirates buried their treasure?!" .. I'm out! That guy is so ridiculous! 😂
Hahahahaha. OK bud. They just happened to know where to find all this old shit? You people make me laugh. "It's all for TV" like the story hasn't been around for centuries before they stepped on the island. I suppose they drained the swamp...built a road...then buried it again too eh? Hahahaha. Ffs guys. Wake up. Yall sound ridiculous. As far as the history of the island....these guys have discovered more than any other search party that's been on the island. Just be patient and watch history change my guy. The show is so far from JUST being about treasure. There is a fantastic story here just waiting to be told.
And BTW I live in Nova Scotia. Am well aware of the story. I'm about an hour from Oak Island and live in the same town as Terry Matheson ( no I dont know the man and I dont bother him about the island. He's signed an NDA anyway so no point right.) These are real people on the island...not actors. If they wanted to make up stuff they found....wouldn't they plant better artifacts than an old sword with no known links to any story about the island or a bunch of ox shoes? Seriously bro..grow up.
@@AsaRush I'm a history nut. Planting random stuff with historical links in various parts of the timeline is EXACTLY what fraudsters do to keep people guessing/speculating and maintaining interest. I've watched the show. Have you?? The treasure supposedly came from pirates, next Templars, and then suddenly Vikings? I've stopped watching after that but now this video also said it even goes back to the Romans lol. I suppose aliens will come in at some point because how else did the people of random timelimes go to the island and back? Grow up.
If you're going to hijack material from another channel in order to promote your own, you could at least put in the effort to pronounce the Lagina's name correctly.
Every episode it's been "Could it be they have found..." "Could it be they have found..." Could it be they have found...." and it's still the same ole line!!!!!!!!!
The last two sentences are Auto Voice at its worst, “Marty has dollar 2 million” makes watching this absurd when hearing a real voice in a foreign tongue much more desirable to the creator than one would think
Shouldn’t they feel kind of foolish all these old men sitting around a table full of their little trinkets if they only had their investment and everybody’s labor in one big pile and where they have invested in bitcoin😂😂😂😂
“Luh-gee-nuh” is how you pronounce their last name. They’re from my hometown of Kingsford, MI, and Rick still lives in the area. They’re both local celebrities.
Various items have surfaced over the years that were found on the island, some of which have since been carbon-dated and found to be hundreds of years old. Although these items can be considered treasure in their own right, no significant main treasure site has ever been found.
@@Jdalio5 Because they were located near a volcanic eruption that emitted subterranean CO2 that had no C14 in it so all animals around date very old. Well known.
Read the comments after hearing the brother's name mispronounced twice. It's a HARD G inLagina! Narrator has apparently never watched 1 episode, which is alarming. Now that I know that they still have not found anything of consequence, then I think I will stop watching. No matter how handsome I think Rick LaGina is to me.
Have a little faith, Kat. Watch it when it returns on Tuesday, February 9th. The team is only taking a short mid-season break. The thirteenth episode named 'The Fellowship of the Ringbolt' will be on the air at the usual 9/8c time slot. You never know what might happen. Although I'm not expecting piles of gold.
They destroyed the actual treasure that was manuscripts… they found fragments every time they drilled and flooded and ripped it apart…. Didn’t even dig after damming the waterway… incompetent and Worst thing to happen to oak island…
