I still can't believe that Pinewood is actually wrapping up... When I started watching this series I had just started my bachelor's degree. Now I'm done with my master's and I'm watching this from the other side of the world while travelling 😅 It's insane how these videos accompany you through life 🙈
Amazing! I've not accomplished a masters, but crazy to think that Xander was only just around and we hadn't moved across the world yet when it started!
@Geekism Right?! I still remember your video announcing the newest little geek. Then we went from hearing him cry in the background of videos to the forever famous "dople" days. Now he'll be a teenager before you know it 😱 It's getting me all nostalgic this!
@@rc_smarti7647 He's asked for his own computer to play Minecraft this year for his birthday. Crazy, it was only yesterday he asked for one more dig, wasn't it?!
It's both sad that Pinewood is coming to an end but also a relief that it's nearly finished. Finally! And when it's all complete it'll be great to move on to see how Meanderville comes along in PlanCo2... those Paths!! 🤤 Great job with this build Jonti! 🙂
Looking back now on how the park has developed what would be really helpful is a video on how to plan out a new park, I for one always struggle with a new blank slate. Love the humour coming through, keep up your awesome work!!
Thanks! Pinewood was purposefully NOT planned, always wanted it to have a 'new decade, new area stuck on' feel. But Meanderville will be master planned and Episode Zero will be all about that :)
Pinewood’s journey has been incredible, I get quite emotional just thinking about it. I began watching the series during a particularly tough time in my life, and it provided immense comfort. Now, as we approach the penultimate episode, I’m in awe of just how much has changed. Thank you and well done, Jonti!
I cannot believe we’re nearing the end of Pinewood! I’ve loved the series so so much, but only recently watched it for the first time - your newer videos on it were great and made me binge watch the series over the past few weeks from the beginning. It has been so fun watching you build, but more than that, it’s AMAZING seeing how much you’ve grown as a builder. The difference between episode 1 and this one is like night and day. It’s been so inspiring to watch. Sitting down every night and winding down with your videos has been the highlight of my days these past few weeks. I’m very excited for Planet Coaster 2, but mostly because I can’t wait to see Meanderville. It’s theme seems right up my alley, and I’m looking forward to being there for a Planco series from the beginning. Also… the theme music you posted for it has me so incredibly hyped?! I shall be waiting with baited breath haha. Also, I loved this episode! Signs are one of my favorite things in Planco for some reason, and the three you built were just so satisfying. The Anchors Away is my favorite. I wanted to give a shout out to the “budget temple” theming in this video too, I love it?! Who knew vases and urns tipped over some rocks and plants would fit so perfectly.
Very nice. Looking forward to seeing the final episode; I'll try and join a stream if I can too. I used to work with a few visual designers who made shop window displays, and they worked under very little budget to create something that often was very effective and realistic. No scenery I've seen in Pinewood looks particularly fancy or over-budget, it all seems like stuff they'd have (limited) access to, so I really wouldn't worry. Still, looking forward to Meanderville!
Thanks! It's definately something I fight with internally a little. I think I struggle most with the fact that whilst I might be using 'temple pieces' I have to remember that they are actually representing some cheap fibreglass piece in real life!
breaking news: the jeep isnt actually on a mound since last year, its not just on the path behind wickerman half heartedly hiding the flume trough behind it lol
can’t believe it’s nearly over but the finish line is in sight and that must be exciting and relieving lol. very intrigued to see what this new mini series is!!
I'd love to see you make a "sister" park with variations of the "popular" rides... ala Disneyland Paris vs Disneyland vs Magic Kingdom in PC2 whenever it comes out. I think it would be cool to see your mindset when revisiting your previous build and updating them to the new game as well as seeing how you would tweak the rides in ways you may have wanted to after you had finished... I always thought it was interesting to see how rides like Pirates of the Carribean were modernized in each park it was added too, or how Space Mountain was altered to match the new locale of the park, etc.
I know I’ve been watching too many pinewood videos when I spent most my day today at Universal Singapore looking out for backstage areas for building inspiration.
Unfortunately I'm off camping this weekend so I'll miss tonight's live stream so no interesting conversations ok? Park is looking so nice. Definitely one I'd like to visit in real life
Regarding the water tower on the rapids, lol, by "they" you mean Mineral Junc---er---Ruble Trillions. It's all him. And yes, scoff away! I've gone crazy. The "minimal" I think has come together quite well.
If you're particularly bothered by the car park jank path that needs the planters to hide... hold control to place a ground level piece right next to the exit, about as close to the exit as you can get, then connect it to your main path and then to the exit. If you do it right, you should only have a tiny little ramp at the exit instead of the long 4m one you have now. Might be quicker to just planter it out, so depends on how bothered you are by it.. :)
I was able to do that with all of them but that one annoyingly... PC1 paths be PC1 paths, knowing what's coming I'm just letting it wash over me. I'm very zen about the whole thing
