I wouldn’t call him the Mrekk of mania because there’s people like Dressurf that can rival him for #1 spot.

right now mania doesn’t really have anyone who you could compare to mrekk since its still a very competitive scene on the leaderboards where if the no.1 spot were to be caught slacking, they’d likely lose their spot, with dressurf being no.2 just 12 days ago. Though arguably you could say throughout 2016-2021, jakads was that mrekk-like dominance that we see on standard, having nobody that could even hold a candle, being capable of S-ranking maps that others in the top 10 couldnt even pass. Right now he’s still arguably the best player in mania, if he does return we will no doubt see one of the most dominant leads in mania as Jakads has not farmed for 14 months. During that time countless of insane farm maps have been released, with that being said hes still in the top 10 despite a year of inactivity, which goes to show how far of a lead he had even against these insane players. He currently plays other rhythm games though, and surprise surprise he also proves to be at the absolute top at all of those.

Because South Korea still has many players that are insanely good that can be a good replacement. Even without Jakads, they still have players like Dressurf and Yz who were a big part of the South Korean roster. There’s a reason why South Korea won the 2022 7k mwc even without their best player.
