These cards are gorgeous! The pine cones are so realistic. I love your berry color choices - it’s a subtle change that immediately makes them look less Christmasy (yet if used with a Christmas sentiment, they would be perfect too). So pretty!
Thank you for doing a winter card. I feel so many people jump from Christmas to Valentines Day and then into spring. Where I live we can still get snow storms in the spring. I love doing winter cards.
Your cards are beautiful. Thank you so much for showing how you made them. I do send thank you cards. I really enjoy making them and letting the recipient know how much I appreciate their thoughtfulness.
When I colored berries for my cards this year I discovered holding them down with the pokie tool was much easier than holding them down with my finger. Maybe try that? Also, I don't send thank you cards but I always send a thank you text to my mom when I get home the same evening (I live 10 minutes away) even though I've already hugged and thanked her in person. She's 76 and hosts dinner every year. Too many thank you's isn't enough for how grateful I am to be in my childhood home with my family and have mama's dinner. We don't potluck. She does it all. All.of it. How?? She's amazing. But maybe now I'll send her a card too. She'll love it. She saves them all... As mama's do. ❤ And... Love your cards.
Kelly your cards are phenomenal. All your cards are stunning, gorgeous, beautiful. Your work is magnificent. The Christmas card that you made with the light in it took time to do and it was just awesome, not to mention several others that you made. Your sponsor’s are probably in aww with your fabulous work. And look, you’re starting the new year off with another beautiful card. Love your cards Kelly! keep up the good work.❤️
Love the pinecones!! So much! And YES I send thank you cards as do my kiddo’s. I think gratitude is so important so we do make sure to mail cards……it makes it even more special to receive a note expressing gratitude. Funny as I have several pinecones dies and I’ve never used them….I will NOW! As always, thank you Kelly!
Beautiful cards!! I love the pinecones. They positively look real. I send cards when we have been sent or given a gift when we are not with the person who gave it.
The color/lighting looks really good now 👍 These cards are really pretty and I love the pinecones especially the glittery snow ❄️ I don't usually do ty cards for Christmas gifts exchanged but will for something extra special beyond touching or from someone unexpected. ❤
Yes, I always send thank you cards. Not only for the gifts but to let them know I appreciated them coming over or inviting me to their home and a little something like, it was so much fun and I’m glad I got to beat you in the card game ha ha I Love You etc.
I love these cards❤. No I don't send thank you card, to the people I exchange present with. But I do have a friend in USA, who send me present, and I to her, and we mail a thank you, and tell about our lives, and ask too the others lives. It's so cozy ❤
No on the Thank you cards if we are exchanging. Yes for all other instances. I have been looking for a way to continue to use the pine cone in the set and the incorporation of purple on your cards did it for me!! Thank you for sharing!
Kelly I absolutely love your story time, and how you move between crafting and talking about the card and then back to the story. I am grateful for your dedication to crafting and enjoy watching your RU-vid channel all the best to you and your family in 2024. See you screenside soon.
Happy new year, Kelly. This video was lighted perfectly, in my opinion. I don’t send thank you cards to people who are with me when I open their gifts. A feel a thank you then and there should be sufficient to express my gratitude. I will send a card to acknowledge receiving a gift from a far away friend or family. Looking forward to viewing your videos in the new year. I enjoy learning techniques from you and love your story times. Blessings to you and your family.
Beautiful cards! I had to purchase the set after watching. I sent thank you cards growing up and when my kids were young. Not so much anymore unless I am in the mood to make some to send.
I love these cards. I grew up on a farm and there was a big pine grove on the land and so when I see pine cones it makes me think of home and growing up. The way you colored them made them look so realistic. Thanks for the wonderful ideas. Happy New Year!
I am going to send thank you cards this year because I never finished my tags and my grandchildren made us gifts. Those so deserve a thank you note! Will be CASEing these as they are beautiful. As for the Snowfall Grit paste and Distress Inks -> so much yellow snow went in the trash can!
Yes! This video content looks much better and lighter! Love your coloring of these dies, and I love the dies, and since I live in a forest I had to buy them! Happy New Year to you and your family!
These are exquisite and I will probably borrow your ideas. I always make thank you cards and I always mail them. I was raised by a southern mama until the age of 13 when she passed away from an illness. My step mom married my dad three years later and I still send thank you cards even to my folks and anyone else who has given me a gift. It’s just the thing to do. I’m old school I guess! TFS!❤
Pretty cards, as usual. Watching you chasing those berries around to color them…. I know how you love that. 😂. How about sticking them to your grip mat or putting them back into the negative die cut? Yes - I send thank you cards even if I said it in person. I am old. Ha.
Love the cards but especially the "snow sparkle". HAPPY NEW YEAR! Ps yes I send thank you cards for gifts but only if I didn't get to thank them in person...always to a host or hostess after❤
love those pine cones. I have to pull out my set and get busy I think. your video looks great. yes I send thank you cards but I seem to get more than I can give (gifts) so I think it appropriate. thanks as always for sharing and all the inspiration.
Beautiful cards! I have been living the grit paste and rock candy glitter this season. About thank you note, I only send them to the host/ hostess of a gathering. The one's who opened up their home for everyone. They work hard to throw the celebration parties so I think they deserve an extra thank you!
The video looked really good to me. Lovely card...l am going to be doing Thank you card's in Feb as we are moving in 12days time. l didn't send any Christmas card's this year... so l am going to thank them for theirs and add our change of address. Hello from Australia
I like them both but my bigger collection is Copic and I've used them longer so I'm more comfortable with the color combinations. However, if I had to do it all over for price alone I would definitely have considered OLO.
@KellyTaylorCards I have no experience with Copic markers. I've seen videos such as yours where they are used. The OLO markers were quite an investment. I purchased all 128 colors together with brush and chisel tips. They replaced Spectrum Noir markers. Thank you for your response. I enjoy your videos and I've made purchases through your link on the things you demo'd. I am always appreciative of the talented crafter such as yourself who shares their talents with want a be cardmakers such as me. I am a quilter and want to be cardmaker. Thank you again.
