i dont feel bad....since it was due to the lack of skill, imagination, and ability on the writers part to make a morally grey story and choice to try to make hoshido master race cus you know...they resemble japan...ironically making birthright the most boring fire emblem i have ever played, and conquest super interesting.....still, the fact that fans have given ideas and custom conversations that outclass anything produced in fates...is embarassing...this was supposed to be a morally grey intense choice....turned out to be side with japan or the dark dirty filthy westerners...perhaps they wont fuck up as badly with the next game.

This led many scholars to believe that she had erased herself from history as repentance for her powerful and frightening hexes. Effie (Strong-Willed General): Effie fell into a severe depression after losing her best friend, neglecting her training in order to mourn for her lost friend. She managed to clear her mind of sad thoughts and became a strong Nohrian general in the future, it is reported that her fellow comrade Arthur was the one who made her feel better after the loss of her dearest friend. Arthur (Honourable Hero): Arthur soon left the army after the war in order to respect the wishes of his fallen master who wanted their to be no conflict. He became a sort of local hero to the children of Nohr, protecting the common folk from thief’s and outlaws. He always managed to check in on his comrade Effie, making sure she was ok after the loss of her dear friend. Beruka (Lost Assassin): Shortly after the war, Beruka left the service of her master, Lady Camilla, and vanished from the history of Nohr completely. Scholars debate on whether she returned to her life as an assassin or if she went to live a remote life by herself. Niles (Devoted Retainer): After the war, Niles stayed in service of his master, King Leo, as he wished to stay by his side and aid the new king in the future. Due to his extreme devotion to aiding the King and Nohr, King Leo granted Niles status and assigned him his own faction of knights in order to aid Nohr in future endeavours. Selena (Legendary Swordsman): After the war, Selena left her service of Lady Camilla after mourning the death of her dear friend, Laslow. She soon after disappeared from Nohr alongside her friend, Odin, and all traces of her existence disappeared on the day she left. Her skill and strength with the sword caused many aspiring knights to treat her as a hero and a legend. Despite the lack of knowledge of Gunter’s whereabouts, a large memorial was held at castle Krakenburg in order to mourn and respect the potential death of an honourable knight. Flora (Fallen Maid): Flora’s death caused a great uproar within the Ice tribe and it’s people as they debated on who to trust in the future. This matter was settled by Flora’s sister, Felicia, who mourned her sister’s death and ordered the Ice tribe to hold a memorial ceremony for the loss of her sister. Elise (Fallen Princess): The death of Nohr’s youngest princess caused a wave of sorrow and dread to spread throughout all of Nohr, a ceremony was held in order to mourn the loss of the young princess and the eldest prince. She was buried next to her older brother as per request from the King and Princess of Nohr. Leo (Wise King): Leo became the King of Nohr after being given the crown from Camilla who was next in line, He led Nohr into an age of wisdom and prosperity as he spent countless days solving the economical problems of Nohr. However, the large amount of work caused him to frequently collapse from stress. Camilla (Mourning Princess): Camilla fell into a depressive state after the loss of her two siblings and after her retainers left her service. However, she never lost her doting and motherly personality as she was seen frequently making sure that Leo never collapsed due to stress. She always tried to put on a happy face when in the presence of the people of Nohr, however people commonly stated that they could see sadness lingering in her eyes. Xander (Fallen Prince): The loss of the eldest prince of Nohr greatly effected the residents of Nohr as it spread a wave of uncertainty and despair throughout all of Nohr and caused the common folk to become unsure of Lord Leo’s worth as a King. The Prince was buried next to his sister as per request of the King and Princess of Nohr.
Jeez, this hurts so much. Even though Fates has its obvious flaws, when I play through Birthright and Conquest I just can't help but feel for the characters who lost their lives and some, their loved ones during each campaign. Just imagining the Hoshidian sisters losing their brothers and sister who they grew up with. And the Nohrians losing their youngest... it's just too sad to think about at times. :P
Khiry Johnson imagine all of the feelings the hoshidans had when they spent their efforts trying to get you back, only for you to indirectly kill the queen and turning yourself back to nohr. and imagine all the love and memories the nohrian siblings had with you, only to have you leave them for another family and treating nohr as a place with bad people. tbh, even though fates had its flaws, and bad writing, i think the main premise of the story still has its impact imo.
Not really, in hoshido ending Nohr lost many territory Cleve, ice tribe, and the kitsune land all of them "recover their independence", their military industry is basically destroyed, and lost many lives in Nohr ending Hoshido ended with his prewar borders, but yeah the country is in chaos for all the destruction of the war
@@edgaralexander1998 yeah, Nohr isn't actually ruined like Hoshido, but it's war industry is destroyed, it becomes a smaller nation and it's food shortage issue (the reason why Garon invaded so much when he was an actual ruler instead of an evil goop dragon demon thingy) gets worse
How was something like this not ingame. IS missed something so little that woulds have made the game dark and mature , not a anime waifufest. This was strong i could feel the sadness just by reading and hearing the beautiful selected soundtrack for this video. 10/10 and this is not a joke.

Of course a Nohr version would be awesome to see, as well as versions for the children of both Hoshido and Nohr if they were cannon - and your take on how they met their ends or how they lived through the conflict.
I feel a children version would be hard to make and kinda controversial, cuz it would essentially require shipping to work. Other than that, I agree that a Birthright version would be great.

I was miserable the whole time I played Conquest. Maybe it’s because I’d played Birthright first, but it just felt so wrong the whole way through. And what’s worse is the game never really addresses the horrible things you did to Hoshido. This video is great and made me extra sad, thanks for making it!
it's funny how people scream they hate Conquest because you kill all these characters. That also happens in Conquest as well guys. The one scene just stuck with me is Severa and Owain before a shattered and sobbing Olivia, explaining why Inigo did not return home with them.
Rudolph Consuegra I only mentioned Selkie because it references the future Kitsune generations in Kaden's epilogue specifically, but I always figured they didn't have kids in the side that lost the war, for example, no Shiro because Ryoma died beforehand etc. but Kaden's epilogue kind of makes a point that Kaden along with others who died during the war very well could have had kids and stuck their child in the Deeprealms, those same kids would all probably change their normal ways because they lost their parents, sort of how they kind of act like in the Heirs of Fate DLC...
Reminder that Corrin begged Kaden to let them pass but Kaden insisted they had to kill them out of fear they will skin them. So Corrins army was either fight or die. How is this idiot a chief? Same with Keaton
I am pretty sure that BR!Nohr will be in a better condition than CQ!Hoshido since the Hoshidan "invasion" of Nohr was only a surgical strike unlike the slaughterfest of the Nohrian invasion of Hoshido.
you stated it quite well, at best Hoshido humiliated Nohr by getting so deeply into it's center and killing the king and then getting away with it at the same time along with killing alot of Nohrian soldiers on the way, along with the Crown Prince and one of the Princess and the one viewed as the hope among the remaining royal siblings at that, Nohr still has the stronger army and fresh at that, but the head of the serpent was cut, and Leo will have to deal with all the noble's who will be smelling blood in the air and looking for a chance to bump him off and take over, lucky he still has Niles and Camilla and Beruka at least and maybe Effie and Arthur. No Matter who wins Anankos still got at least one kingdom weakened, though with no means to leave Villa and all his power wasted in those last attempts to kill Corrin, I hold the belief that Conquest and Birthirght's world's are safe from his threat (the large bulk of his power died with Goorin in Birthright & Possessed Takumi in Conquest, I doubt he'll recover it before he regress into just an insane mindless dragon that still can't leave Valla or utilize the invisible soldier's). Revelations in my eyes is the only route where both Kingdom's don't get their shit wrecked though I hate how Happy Happy Golden it is, so I ignore it's existence entirely and just accept Birthright an Conquest are the only routes that exist, oh and always turn Corrin into a Cavalier no matter the route as her class is way to OP, I just buy the skills off of my save of Nohr/Hoshido Noble Corrin and give Corrin those skills and just use like I said Cavalier/Paladin Corrin, good balance, I ignore the Dragon thing, kind of useless anyway, if I want a tank, I have Effie/Benny for that and whoever of Silas or Peri as a Great Knight
@@paulman34340 Yeah Dragonstones aren't really good for Corrin anyway since they build more Str and Spd and lose out on res. Even if you change the boon/bane. I got a magic Corrin that I built strictly on dark mage line for perks and they still came out a hybrid str/mag. If you want to use Dragonstones then use Kana due to her personal skill and her defense, mag and res stats being much better than Corrin's. Dragonstone is really if you want a magic steamroller since they are only weak to wyrmslayers and don't follow the weapon triangle, and doing mag which means only Ninja's will have a likely chance of surviving a hit from a maxed Kana. Personally the two best mothers for F Kana are Anna or Scarlet, though depends what route you wanna go for with Kana. !Scarlet gets alot more crits well !Anna gets the best stats. Flora gets the best.... Hair? I've never done Flora, but her stats are pretty mean in Rev, Conquest she stinks more than Gunter.
This was so good! Hinoka's ending was the saddest to me. If there is a Birthright epilogue for the Nohr characters I would love to see it! (Even if it rips my heart out)
Starr Angel My wishes for "After Birthright: Nohr's Epilogue": 1. The Wolfskins would hold a grudge against Hoshido like the Kitsunes did Nohr. 2. The Ice Tribe would be massacred by Hans and Iago after Flora and Kilma's death. 3. Benny and Charlotte's fate would be unknown, presumably executed by Hans for their incompetence. 4. Arthur and Effie resigned after realizing that they failed to protect Elise. 5. Speaking of which, there would be someone who blames Corrin for Elise's death, even if that someone knows that Xander killed her by accident. 6. Laslow would be killed in battle, and Selena and Odin has to bring his body back to their home.
+SquirtleMaster well just remember how in birthright, you tear apart an already established family(nohrians) by leaving them. in conquest you never really knew them(hoshidans) in the first place.
and then the worst part is their not even your sibling's by blood putting them on the same playing field as the Nohrian's only they actually have a connection to you having helped raised you unlike the Hoshido's whos only connection is Mikoto and as far as you knew she could have been a crazy woman who claimed you from somewhere as her own child, I read an abridged fanfic called "Gray's Whirlpool" which is funny and does for Fates what SAO Abridged did for SAO, it fixed the story by doing things THE WRITERS SHOULD HAVE DONE IN THE GAME, such as Corrin (Who's female and all three story routes) finds out about the whole "not related by blood thing" from Ryoma without the romancing any of them in the birthright route, and of course has a breakdown and starts questioning if she made the right choice siding with Hoshido as she believed she was siding with her blood family only to find out NOPE their as related to her by blood as her Nohrian siblings are, not at all, except they actually raised her for a large portion of her life and she has well HAD (this is the Birthright route after all) bonds with them....which she broke by siding with Hoshido, and she's rightfully angry at Ryoma for keeping it a secret (while well meaning...it was still a dick move keeping that fact from her, Mikoto acts alot more desperate even a little crazy (she has a cat name Kamui for good sakes in this story the Hoshido call Corrin Kamui as that's the name Mikoto gave her when she was born, while the Nohrian's call her Corrin largely because Gooron was a dick and called her Corn, and Gunter was having none of that shit and called her Corrin instead which everyone EXCEPT Goorin call her in Nohr) so Corrin can rightfully have doubts if Mikoto was really her mother, that chapter does conclude with her coming to terms with this revelations and finally fully connecting with her stepsiblings calling herself Kamui from that point onward, but the point still stands that IS were fucking morons for messing that up, all to glorify Revelations which didn't solve anything other then fucking with the MCorrin x Azura shipping for those who hate ALL forms of blood incest (provided Mikoto and Arete ARE blood sister's and aren't like the type of sisters compared to how Eliwood and Hector treated each other like brothers), we get to see Anankos and BS Golden ending (starting the flood of wrathful whinnying insane fans taking Revelations as the proof Conquest/Birthright were the wrong choices and IS/Nintendo stole their money, I just view Revelations as like a stated a BS Golden Path as I HATE GOLDEN PATHS PERIOD in choice driven different route taking stories this was FF XIII-2 all over again), the best thing for revelation would have been Lilth revealing her and Anankos relations to Corrin/Kamui (ironic since they wanted Lilith to be a mascot for Fates, and instead she was the most forgetable character in all three routes talk about forgetable, Gray Whirlpool did what the writers did not gave her alot of screentime and presence that her deaths in Conquest/Birthright were tearjerking instead of me raising an eyebrow saying "huh" and shrugging at how sappy and stupid the death's were and only keeping the concept of the My Castle for being a useful benching mechanic for the story rather then a customizable Time Trap), focused more on WHY they can turn into a dragon instead of brushing it off in the other routes (which Gray Whirlpool did not do), oh well that's why we have folks like Custom here
I chose it because a mix of F you Japan for making Hoshido the whitest on the Moral Compass kingdom IN THE ENTIRE SERIES; not liking Awakening's format that much having loved the old ones (aka every FE not Gaiden/Echoes, Sacred Stones, Awakening of course) though to make it clear I still do love playing those games and Gaiden/Echoes & SS is leagues better then Awakening and I liked that game, Birthright at least was an improved version of Awakening at least, and well liking the design and look of all the Nohrian character's and many of them having my favorite classes, and liking it's royal's (especially Xander for being Camus 2.0), I'll admit that I bought BOTH games on release at the same time, but Birthright was a one time playthrough (the only character's I liked was Oboro do to being a version of the Soldier class from POR/RD and being a lover and fanboy of my waifu Nephenee, though mixed with Oboro character) the Royal's do to well being the royal's though I took the brother's Weapons from them and left them in the convoy for being too broken and because I used Hana, and the rest were Silas, Scarlet and Jacob & Felicia cause like I stated I love the Nohrian classes more, I will admit to turning Odin into a Samurai cause come on he's much better in that class then his Dark Mage one (I like Nyx better) and sometimes Selena into a Sky Knight or Dark Flier depending on the mood (Laslow's my main Mercenary). Nohr had the better character's do to fitting the moral gray much better then the Hoshido one's (I hate Kaze and split with Kagero, but I do use Saizo do to actually being the only Gray Hoshido character I came across seeing how he's the only one being reasonable in why taking eyes off of the Nohrian character's in the army is a bad idea and having the better supports, Kaze is only used in Conquest cause like with Mozu, he's the only ninja if you discount Laslow, and Mozu is the only means to get a pure archer not relying on Magic like Niles to physical attack unless your willing to use the kid unit's aka Niles daughter. In Short Conquest is the best of the three, Revelations was a waste of money (Glad I played a friend's version and didn't buy it myself LOL, only interesting thing were the supports between the two factions and their kids and I can look them up on the internet for free so no money for you IS), Birthright was a one time playthrough then I sold it for 50 bucks and bought it a year later for 20 bucks, it was a twofer as I got my Awakening back as a freebie, someone REALLY wanted to get rid of them both I was able to talk them down from 30 bucks each to 20 for both of them. and it gather's dust in my collection of 3DS games as I play the other 3DS FE over it, shame

While Camilla may have been able to forgive Corrin, Leo would probably have done the same as you said Hinoka should've. I hate Corrin for that reason. He can apparently do no wrong and everyone likes and agrees with him.

I found it bullshit that Takumi's hatred of Corrin in Conquest was due to some shitty possession and Takumi loved Corrin at the end of Conquest, despite his hatred for Corrin being perfectly reasonable, since Corrin helped in the destruction of Hoshido and several of its inhabitants. That "possession" ruined Takumi for me in Conquest.
Hate would only bring Hate. Corrin did not do anything wrong it was Takumis desicion to throw his life away and Ryoma understood enough Hinoka was broken but attacking Corrin for no reason would do absolutely nothing for anyone and just get her killed
I had to stop the video to cry when I saw Takumi's entry. His death always hit me the hardest and I'm glad I can change that by picking any other path besides conquest.
I agree, had I seen this at the end of Conquest after seeing all the happy ending's for my Conquest character's it would have made the ending more bittersweet which I would have liked, nice way to show you how your choices had consequences especially if you played the other route and got to know them, It's like having a choice on which one of two guys you got to know since you were a kid will die and who will live, getting to see the happy ending for the one you chose to save and what happened to the one you didn't then going back and time and seeing the results of if you picked differently. But I guess that got tossed out the window when they chose to throw the better named If out and called it Fates we're fated to never see a better written FE story, hopefully after Echoes story did well (minus the minor hiccups) we can finally get some decent writing from them now, FE Switch will show if it's true or not as there's a difference between writing an original story, and adding meat to a bare bones existing one
To be honest I think this was my favorite thing about fates. That none of the endings were truly happy. Even Revelations, which is obviously the best ending. Conquest is pretty much self explanatory from this video. Birthright is where the Nohr family is seen and is forever remembered as the evil kingdom. Despite everything done after the war, the deaths of Elise and Xander stain Corrin as traitor in Nohr. Conquest and Birthright just leave a bittersweet feel after it’s completed.
All my favorites die... Well I'd rather not hear of other plans I imagined Hans had for Orochi and Reina knowing how much of a hedonist he is, but I think it's worse than dead. Can't wait to see Conquest. This got me depressed. Even worse is that a good Corrin could avoid the deaths of the ninjas (Sue me. I like Ryoma's retainers.
Feel bad abit for Scarlet in Birthright, she was hailed as a hero by the Cheve's, sadly do to her rebellion bringing Hans and his Burn, Pillage, and Plunder on them, they hated her and she wasn't even given a memorial at least, just a no name who tried to fight them system and was quickly smashed like a bug, and hated because everyone else was punished on suspicion of supporting her (from the dialogue not many Cheve's were in support of her rebel movement), you ether win and be hailed a hero, or you fail, die undignified and not even be remembered as much of a footnote in history
This was a fantastic vid Custom. It really compliments the dark and somber mood of Conquest, and I would have loved to see this in game after the normal characters endings.
I mean everyone in Cheve was slaughtered so no survivors to remember them or make her a grave, I mean the same would be true for Mozu if the player doesn't save her. No one would know or care about the nameless village and villagers wiped out.
Tbh I freaking love this, it's so sad but it explains what happens to Hoshido after the entire war which made me a little disappointed in the game only because it didn't include it. This is gorgeously done and seeing these show up in my notifications make my day! Please make more whenever you can because I'm pretty sure no one likes being rushed.
Say what you will about Fates they really nailed the whole sadistic choice thing down pat, Birthright or Conquest you end up hurting people who really care for you and it really brings out the worst in them.
Kurisu Sakurano to be honest, wouldn't be as impactful. Since many of the characters in Conquest die from the brutality of Hans and Iago rather than the army, not as many died in Brithright
Well there was Flora who commit suicide in front of her sister but it would be nice to see a After Birthright version as well even if the path was less brutal.

Man, this should have been in the game. Extra feels, gotta have them. Come to think of it, this'd be a neat feature for future installments, either for characters who die from the story or through gameplay. Just an alternate ending for them. Also, loving the narrative you're crafting with Oboro.

Technically Corrin never met any of the Hoshido character's other then Yukimura, and the siblings only getting introduced AFTER picking a side. It's strange on Conquest though just how Corrin never met ANY of their adopted siblings retainers for all those years
I cried at Kaden's ending... He was my husband in Birthright and Revelation and while I was playing as Morgan in Conquest, I felt horrible fighting the kitsune, I almost wanted him to win.
That's what is missing in Fates: a human dimension, a psychologic side. Lots of people died. Populations, families, royals, retainers... They didn't treated it well at all. It makes me sad to think about how good and emotional fire emblem fates could have been. Dreams have been been broken, lifes disappeared or have been destroyed. Scarlet fought for her nation, but she got forgotten. Oboro lost her lover. The royal families got destroyed and a child has to become king/queen without being prepared to such a role. And the list would be long. I wish so hard Fef story was better. ;-;
Oboro surviving while takumi didn't? Heartcracking, but what really broke it was when the other guy died, meaning she has no one to relate with extremely closely.
This makes me feel. But not enough to say that conquest in my honest opinion is my favorite of the three routes (replaying revelations) conquest is brutal, I understand the story for conquest could have been above and beyond, but we are stuck with what we have. When I first caught wind of this I was still a bit of a noob to fire emblem barely playing awakening. However, this interested me because I like these kinds of stories of moral choices Am I bound by my blood and real family. Or am I bound to the family I have known my entire life, and to loyalty So that's when me and my friend said. Well what would you chose. He said birthright, I said I would join the path of conquest. Also conquests retainers I found far more interesting and same with the nobles part from Xander. I feel Xander and ryoma are almost the same. But I feel both are relatively speaking good characters. I don't feel bad for my conquest. War is hell, and my corrin was the devil (except for shura. He chill)
Me to. I played birth right first but I never really warmed up to the Hoshidien cast. This goes so fare that I loved Ellise in the Birth Right story the most. Yeah a Nohr Character conquered the throne of my favorit Characters of this game list in the Hoshido path before I played Conquest. And than when I played the Nohr path I enjoyed the cast alot. I did not feal bad fighting the Hoshidiens. It was fun fighting the good guys.
My wishes for "After Birthright: Nohr's Epilogue": 1. The Wolfskins would hold a grudge against Hoshido like the Kitsunes did Nohr. 2. The Ice Tribe would be massacred by Hans and Iago after Flora and Kilma's death. 3. Benny and Charlotte's fate would be unknown, presumably executed by Hans for their incompetence. 4. Arthur and Effie resigned after realizing that they failed to protect Elise. 5. Speaking of which, there would be someone who blames Corrin for Elise's death, even if that someone knows that Xander killed her by accident. 6. Laslow would be killed in battle, and Selena and Odin has to bring his body back to their home.
Boy... i really look forward to how you will handle the Norh side of things. i can imagine if Camilas retainers live but the others dont... Selena may be very depressed.
I find it interesting that so many units died in BR, but Rinkah and Hayato kind of just do their own thing. Also, this was really well done and it shares how I bet the BR characters felt after the war.
