Great tutorial, thnx! Pls, tellme, do you have the tutorial about how to cast shadow from charachter hand to body? I uses DropShadow, but if the character in little scale - the shadow stays NONscaled and looks big :(
thanks. this is awesome. had a question, i have been watching cartoonhooligan, there is an light source to every character, is like there is 1 layer or highlight on their skin tone. just wondering, are they applying the same concept to their videos ?
This is cool and all, but how do you get that lighting where you've preserved the black stroke around the character but still have light areas where the light's hitting him. It looks amazing in your other videos! Great work, and I'm learning a lot from your channel!
Hi, 5 months late but in case you're still wondering, a work around I did was to duplicate the comp without the lighting effect and fill and place it on top of the comp with the lighting. You can also use the blend mode multiply in case you have a white fill like me :>
@@RaphaelMYT Thanks for the reply. I think you mean duplicate your comp with a white fill and a black stroke then set it to multiply. This could work but I think I found the way he did it - I think he put the layer style lighting on a shape, then put Layer style -> Stroke. This generates the stroke “outside” the lighting as in his other videos.
Ive seen this done the same but with Inner Shadow and Blend Mode changed. I wonder if there is actually a difference between the two, or is it just the way they are set up (preset)?
Super cool! Could you tell me did you key the secondary move of his arm when the body turns around? Or use expression scripts or any plugins sir?. Thank you very much for professional sharing.
I think using Kleaner with Duik on your key frames will automatically create overlap on your character animations. It works on anything even if it wasn’t rigged with Duik. The expressions it creates makes overlapping action and follow through happen automatically. You could try it and see if it meets your needs.
Hey man amazing work as usual but hey, you think you could make a tutorial on using duik for an advanced image based character rig (like layers drawn in photoshop brought over to after effects) as apposed to vector controlled shapes in after effects. I understand the limitations of the image based version for a character rig as the movements would be jerky due to no Inbetweens but that's fine for me. I'd like to draw all the different expressions for each part of the face and control it with duik's interface. Is that possible or not? I'm not sure if this is making any sense. If there's anyway possible for that. I'd love to see it. I watch the video over and over until it gets the same amount of views as your other videos lol
i guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly forgot my login password. I would love any tips you can give me!
@Kameron Bryant i really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im waiting for the hacking stuff atm. I see it takes quite some time so I will get back to you later with my results.
