Notes for those using this tutorial with the new version of Particular: 1. Pre-Run has been moved to **Global Controls (All Systems)** tab. 2. There so no longer Model Air, however, using the **Environment** tab will now mimic what it did before including all the old controls shown here.
Just followed this! 6 years later and it's still giving me perfect results. Only "issue" is that trapcode updated particular and some features moved places, but thats fine!
Cheers for the tutorial. If you press Ctrl + K you can go advanced tab and adjust the motion blur settings of your comp. Worth trying before using a render heavy force motion blur
You CAN set native motion blur settings, just go to composition settings, click the second tab, and at the bottom of the window you can set the shutter phase, angle, samples, etc...
Had to sub. Such a great effect and video! It really came out amazing great job my friend! No way they could tell the difference looks like it was snowing on set!
Awesome! The most realistic snow tutorial! Hope you make a variation of this for Stranger Things flakes! Used your amazing tut for the flakes, but have hard time to make them not disappear!
very good work!! question: at 0:28, are particles always ontop of the walking man? or you arranged it so some snow flakes go behind the walker. If so, how did you do that?
thank you for this great tutorial. i have a small problem. i have a clip that is panned from left to right so i want the snow to blow to the left against the pan. any tips?
Some parts of my trapcode options are totally missing :( I don't have the pre-run, neither the physics option, air etc... I'm using the trial version now with the CC 2020 version. Does anyone have any idea where are those menus or why are they missing ? Pls help
Really great tutorial, but does anyone, I wonder about the part where he is close to the camera and the most of the snow is falling behind him but also a few flakes passes by in front of him. i used a obscuration layer for my case and it works, but, it makes the snowflakes going through the character which makes it look very wierd.
Thanks for the tutorial. An application example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fQDwawmfuZ8.html What kind of preset do you use for rendering?
Hi, I know this is a random question, and has nothing to do with the tutorial at all. But your timeline is only about 4 seconds long, yet it still shows seconds. I have set my timeline to timecode however when I make a comp that is 10 seconds long, it shows frames. Is there anyway I can fix that?
I did it with the preinstalled "CC Snowfall" plugin. How to connect the snow to the camera moving? Like 0:23 When i'm moving my camera horizontal, the snow is fix and only falls from top to bottom, bot does not move with the camera. I really want to know that :-)
nice video but still the snow looks fake I live in nl so I know what it's like when snowing so for me it's not that realistic but cool affect and I subbed
