After watching the whole video, I have decided that I'm not going to keep the oil filters, but rather, I don't ever want to see it again in front of my eyes. Great, and thank you very much.
You can use a 4" pcv pipe with a rubber pad on it or velcro to hook on the sandpaper why cut up a good belt for the belt sander. Your better off cutting the oil filter open to look at the filter materials inside for metal shavings. This will tell you thd shap of the inside of the motor
Wow in order to save money to make this tool, I would have to buy a welder, a couple different saws and the grinder, tear up a perfectly good sanding tool, and dull several blades cutting the 60 grit sand paper. Wow! What a penny saver!!
@@Maciejka1955 Yes maybe so, but since I don't have the tools now, it means, I do not do much of that kind of work.
Desmerecendo o trabalho do próximo! Será que vc é bem mais talentoso? Reflita melhor! Humildade não faz mal a ninguém!
I just went to my garage and threw away 5 brand new oil filters so that I will never be tempted to do anything this insipid. Thanks for the reminder of "The right tool for the right job" by showing the opposite.
PARABENS!!
yeah baffled me. Checked my local home depot and proper drum sander kit starts at ~$10 meaning the cost of the disc and the sanding belt are nearly the same price making this pointless and dangerous.
I don't know exactly what he's using but the Zep chemical company makes a product called Zep Off and it will do that to just about any automotive paint and will melt a fog onto plastics such as headlights and taillights.
Like my Father InLaw said Manny years ago, You got to spend alot of money to do all these handy dandy tricks and Tactics. The average person is not going to make that kind of investment, but to the Person who already has a Mirid,of tools, they can have fun with all the You Tube creations, and Creative they are indeed!!
Terrible idea. Any balance issue, poor weld, or tape lets loose and someone's getting hurt. A typical disc grinder is hitting 9k-12k RPM. Really don't recommend anyone trying to replicate. You can get a whole drum sander kit to use with a drill (lower, safer RPM) for about the cost of the pad and belt you sacrificed. Or save up and get a belt sander which would be the right tool for what you are demonstrating your DIY drum on.
@@urgenmasters4379 Um, no. It might test fine, but poor balance and hardening in the weld area mean it will fatigue badly and fail. Given the rotational speed of an angle grinder that's a dangerous scenario. I just hope no one is foolish enough to try this themselves.
