Great idea, but I had many alarm bells ringing when watching your use of the tools. First and foremost, NEVER use a grinder freehand like that, it’s asking for trouble and missing fingers; always grip the workpiece in a vice, or at least some pliers. You should never put a grinder down on the cutting disc side. I witnessed someone sustain a serious injury by putting a grinder down on the disc side. They then plugged into power and the button was locked on. The grinder spun up, jumped off the bench and straight into the guy’s face. Even if your grinder is cordless, it’s still good practice to put it down, disc-up. When using a gas torch, the hottest part of the flame is usually about an inch away from the nozzle, you were way too close for efficient heating; which is probably a good thing because you were heating a drill bit (a great heat conductor) with bare hands! The only reason I’m saying any of this is that people who aren’t particularly experienced with tools could cause themselves a serious injury by emulating your methods.
you're absolutely right. cheers for sharing! and also, never cut a gas canister with a grinder! always puncture it first with a non-heated sharp object.
The angle grinder is one of the most dangerous tools I've ever used. Cut an expensive Mechanix Wear glove when it hung up on a piece of channel steel I was cutting. Had I not had the gloves on, it certainly would been a trip for stiches in my hand. Got a full size chop saw after that.
@@bobjohnson5218 My close call was while trimming a paving tile, the angle grinder kicked and dropped, hit my gum boots, bounced, and ate my thick jogging pants pulling itself into my boot, just below the knee. Had slight skin burns due to the vibration inside my boot because it was still on, but no longer turning, as I quickly pulled the power cord. My pants wrapped or winds itself onto the disc, saving my leg. I consider it sheer luck, as an angle grinder will cut through fabric and digits for while the disc is still turning, even when already turned off.
Onofrio. It can explode. This gentleman took a big risk especially by using a grinder with sparks flying around a can filled with aerosol gas. It’s an awful lot of work with a lot of equipment for something you can buy in a garden store.
AFTER LEARNING THIS SECRET, you will never throw away an empty can! BUT you only need 1 can to make this so all the other cans you get what ever is in them will be thrown out
I am sure that after seeing the tools you are having I assume you are staying in a civilised world. If you Walk into any Gardening tools and equipment store you can pick up a manual sprayer which can be filled with any liquid, detergent, foliage spray etc. and without any necessity to depend on an air compressor you can pressurise the can and spray at will.
Have you ever heard of a piece of equipment called a vise? Before cutting into a pressurized paint can, make a small hole to test for pressure and paint. Absolutely rediculous video...and dangerous.
The most dangerous grinder and the can of butane gas have met, and they still have fingers or eyes. I'm surprised you're fine. After using butane, make sure to make a hole and throw it away.
