Me walking out of the office after my first Paragard (copper IUD) insertion. I've never had an IUD until I filmed this, nor have I had children.
I previously had done the depo shot, the combo pill, and the implanon. I didn't like the lack of sex drive or weight gain. I have regular periods that go 5-7 days.

My gyn didn't prep me at all, so it was extremely painful. I think it's all about prep: pain killers, dilation, antianxiety, relaxation, bringing a friend... if you overprepare, it'll be much better. If you're scared, going during your period will help.

Funny enough my body expelled it about three weeks after this video. So I have to get another one, but this doctor did not give me anything to prepare, so I asked if she would do what the other doctor did for me.

@@dharmadharma3960 they said I'm one of the 5%. A foreign object in your body perhaps. But they said the odds of it happening again were the same. So I decided to try again. My appointment is this Thursday

@@dharmadharma3960 good news. And bad news. Good news, no expulsion this time, bad news is my periods are painful and heavy. I actually vomited. I'm gonna give it a few more months though.

Commenting a few months later. The IUD expelled 3 weeks after this video. I had it removed and a new one inserted. Check my other videos for updates.
