Hey everyone Jayy here -
We started this job early in the day hoping to avoid the heat ... well that didn't happen. Around 11 am its was close to 98 degrees and we were only about half way complete. We did eventually finish the job but not before jess got light headed and had to throw in the towel. I came back and cleaned everything up, when that was finished and I made it home my body was locking up for the rest of the day and pretty much all night. Great job, YOU 2 BETTER REALLY STAY HYDRATED this year because it looks like for the foreseeable future in the forecast it's going to be A SCORCHER to go do these lawns, and im disabled and ONLY able to only MOW my lawn and I make sure and Be started NO LATER than 6:50am to Beat any major HEAT that is on its way for the day, I can't weed eat anymore but I get the majority of the grass cut, so that might be a NEW IDEA 💡💡 for you to try and get out there MUCH EARLIER to start, just a suggestion, Hope you both are doing BETTER now, DON'T NEED any of that HEAT STROKE stuff going on, ITS BAD, Have A Great weekend ☀️✌️👍🌞😎❤

I commend you two for picking up the grass clippings, even though it's an abandoned house. Hardly anyone on here ever does that. Some don't even pick up on regular properties. I hope you keep doing that. You definitely get my vote. Great team, great job.

Um, wow. Tackling this BEASTIE YARD... yeah you both dud a fabulous 👌 👏 👍 job. Hydrate every hour on the hour, 20 oz h20, then 1 Gatorade every 4th hour. No mayo or butter, or oils with food during intense exterior work.... Jesse, you amazed every one with your skills. You should be very proud of your 👌 💪 🙂 👌 🎉

Jess does an amazing job and I love watching the 2 of you work together. Maybe you should use some cool towels around your neck during this heat and make sure you take frequent breaks and hydrate. I understand all about getting overheated as I’m 67 years old on high blood pressure medication. When I first went on the medication, I did sports photography, mainly football, outdoors in the heat and I would get so lightheaded sometimes I’d have to sit down. Keep it up Jess and Jay…you do wonderful work.

Work 20 minutes take the 5 to 10 minute break to hydrate. You are both important take good care of yourself. By the way the front yard looks great. See y'all next week

I feel for your wife. I have a lawn service and my husband helps me. I over did it about a month ago. We finished the job, but I could not drive. So my husband did. Please take a break. That was my problem. I keep saying just a little more. Well it got the best of me. And in the last 5 years it has only happened to me twice. So take those breaks!!

Hello, another fantastic job. Please drink your water and cover up and rest. Take some me time. Trees 🌳 I hate next to a house or building the tree limbs grew on the houseside and roof, and that cost my parents money. So, there are no trees next to our house or garage at all.❤😂

Could tell Jess was working hard and glad she stayed home after getting sick. In this heat she and you needed to probably drink more water and take more breaks. So what if it took more than one day? Better you keep your health than run yourselves in the ground in this heat. Keep up the good work and the neighbors should be thankful you set this abandoned property to rights. Kudos to you both.

Great team. Make sure to cover your heads, drink pH water after you freeze it and it will melt as it warms and you will stay refreshed in the heat. I do this because I live in the desert and hydration is an absolute necessity. Take care and recover❤

Mad respect to both of you! Be sure and hydrate way before starting the job. You can get a drink mix called "liquid iv " that comes in different flavors and provides proper hydration.

My son works at a grocery store yesterday his boss called me to tell me to come get him. He acting like his sugar down. His boss gave him some peanut butter he told me to come get him. I did took him to the ERI told the Dr what happen & ilI asked him if he would test his sugar he did but it was ok. The Dr thinkbthat he just got over heated. Because it been in the 90 here in South Carolina too.

Sometimes you gotta walk away and take a break or come back the next morning or whatever when it gets that Hot out! Have her drink alot of Gatorade and sit in the AC and take a few naps until she feels better! We are pulling for her!

My new summer routine. I live in Sapulpa. 99 degrees in the shade, heat index around 107. I get up at 0630. I drink an energy drink and some water. In my shorts and tank top pajamas I drive 2 blocks and feed the stray cat colony. If I need any groceries I go to Walmart. In my pajamas. I stumble around like I am drunk because I am not awake. I am home around 0830 and I do not go outside until after dark. If I had to perform the labor you are doing in this heat, I would pass out, no matter how much hydration I consumed. Be careful. MD mowing and CJ Mowing film their water/Gatorade breaks which I like to see. I am sure you have had heat exhaustion before, I have and now it takes less time for my body to shut down. I worry about anyone outside in this weather.

Aww, I'm so sorry that your wife became dehydrated & got sick. She did such a great job. Especially on the tree trimming. That property really looked amazing after what you guys did. Keep removing anything you fee is necessary, some of the people yards you take care of can't do that for themselves and perhaps can't afford to have it taken care of, so keep doing what you do and ignore the negative comments. I like it when you take care of those things especially for the elderly or disabled or abandoned properties. Awesome job always. Have a beautiful day. Where are you located? 🌻😊

I have been doing work like that. When your body are not used to that kind of work you will feel it in your hole body. It will be better. Start by working 3 or 4 hours and rest. I could sometimes feel like I were going to faint. Then I took it easy and drank a lot of water. Little by little I could work more. I hope your wife will be back soon. Never give up! 💪

Heat stroke and dehydration are so quick in this heat. Take more water breaks with electrolytes and maybe vented hats. Take care of yourselves.

Keep up the good work everything looks fantastic and as far as your little woman sweetheart, you hang right in there and there’s no shame to get sick when it’s that hot. I'm very heat sensitive and the only technique I've learned that works is to take a towel, get it wet, wring most of the moisture out and wrap it around my neck, also using it like a turbin works to keep my head and neck cool. I can work in high heat now it's like an air conditioner on my neck. Hope this helps.

Your wife is a hard worker and so sorry she got sick. I have stood in the yard and thrown up many times working out there because of the heat. I purchased some ice trays and frozen water and also gatorade. put in a cooler and set in the shade and would sit for a few minutes and consume one of these. You can also order a freeze rag to go around your neck that helps. Please take breaks because I got badly dehydrated one time and my kidney count got all messed up. Both of you did a great job on this front yard and looking forward to part 2. Bless both of you.
