Russia began a 10-day naval exercise on June 18, involving dozens of ships sailing in the Pacific Ocean, Sea of Japan, and Sea of Okhotsk. Several ships and a submarine sailed out to sea from the Far East city of Vladivostok, an operational base for Russia's Pacific Fleet. 40 ships, boats, and support vessels as well as about 20 planes and helicopters will participate in the exercise, as per the Russian Defense Ministry. well if Japan is North Korea's primary enemy in the region and Russia how has a defense pact with North Korea.. The Japanese and Russia have a tenuous relationship at best.. Japan was lucky Russia allowed them their stake in that oil rig the japanese need so much to power all of Japan and don't forget, Japan still wants some islands from Russia they lose during world war 2 and this was always going to be a serious bone of contention between Russia and Japan.. The Japanese have been thinking long and hard about giving up their neutrality and perhaps that Japanese marine marine who assassinated Shinzo Abe, can tell you a thing or two about Japan's recent belligerent attitude, seeing as to how they're messing with nuclear powers now and besides, they don't want to become the next Ukraine.. America's taking applications from asian countries on who wants to be the next Ukraine against China and it seems the Philippines maybe answering that call and after they re-elected Duterte, I'd say the Philippines deserves this fate...
