Stroke is a lifelong journey. You come back a new you with a different body. Count your blessings with what you came back with. All in life has a purpose. Peace be with you. --A stroke survivor

Count your blessings. Had 3 strokes and 2 grand mal seizures, great rehab.. doing home exercises now. Think this happened so I would slow down. It worked. God is good. Blessings to you and your family. Life is definitely different now.

I recommend "Stronger After Stroke" a book by Peter Levine. Fortunately I recovered or I am still recovering from stroke before reading the book. This book explained how the brain can grow new neurons and even repair damaged ones. I need to work on strength but I am completely functional on both sides. I think what helped me was that while I laid in the hospital, I visualized myself walking. When it came to physical therapy, my left leg was so heavy that I could not stand. But on the second day of therapy which was several days later I stood up. Used a walker for about a week then a cane for a couple weeks and then no cane. They followed me walking with a wheelchair so I could take breaks. Now I have physical therapy at home. So if you know someone who had a stroke, let them know that if the can think, they can recover.

I found that 'acupuncture' had a tremendous benefit following PE. It unblocks meridian channels mainstream medicine knows little if anything about. Acupuncture is Ancient Chinese Medicine that has been around for over 3,000 years. I visualized myself running when I was told PE couldn't help me, & found a PE center on my own who did. It takes time, & I've had to get through stages of grief as well. Yes! if you can think, you can recover! Be your best! It's been 5 years & I won't ever allow others to rain on my parade!

Huge, huge example and inspiration to me. Thank you for that. Good luck and keep fighting and progressing. I'm 8 years out from my stroke and your video has really motivated me to continue my daily training. Thank you again.

Adding you all (stroke survivors) to my prayers! I am a recent acute stroke survivor myself. My stroke took place on the evening of Mon., Feb. 12, 2024. It was caused by a blood clot created by an upper heart flutter (atrial fibrilation). It has affected my right side porifrial vision in both eyes; but mainly in my right dominant eye. Also, it affected the brightness of my vision, as if someone had dimmed the lights down very low. On the 2nd or 3rd day in the hospital, the brightness of my vision improved greatly, as if someone turned the brightness of the lights back up to almost full. The rest of the vision I can't tell or notice much improvement. It's very hard to tell the difference from day to day. It's a strong roller-coaster ride for all the different emotions, anxiety, stress and even faith, just to name a few. What holds me together when it gets ready hard is my faith in God, my Father and Jesus, my Saviour. Iam very thankful for what they Both have done and will do for me as I journey down the road of recovery. I also say the same for my family as well. I give thanks to them all and also give praise, glory and honor to God, my Father and Jesus, my Saviour! Please also add me to your prayers, thanks. Amen!
