NATO could had still been a Paper Tiger but now the world has changed. Russia and China forming a block has change the landscape. NATO will be well served with increased spending. Self reliance will be the new normal. The pivot to the asia/pacific region is the main focus for the US going long into the future. European members of NATO need to also focus on the Asia Pacific. China is not a pacing threat for the US only. The threat to NATO is not just Russia.
