One of the great jams from one of Marvin's most influential albums and my absolute favorite hands down. The layering of thr vocals, that bugaboo beat, otherworldliness of that mini moog all carried along so effortlessly by that flute...Good God Ahmighty!!
I wish they had kept the flute prominently featured in the mix on the 1976 release. It was one hell of an extended solo and worthy of its original place. As they say "not either or, it's both AND." 💯
This music is designed to promote love and respect to our women folk. Today's music is designed to promote confusion. Love was the main ingredient in music back then. That ingredient has been removed.😢
I wish Marvin had let the beautiful flute solo played throughout the original studio version co-exist with the Moog figures he played on top. It would have WORKED, Marv!
