Because that is what is going on in the west right now, we have so much corruption, so many hideous crimes committed right in front of our eyes, and yet, most people won't do anything. As a simple example, the JFK files were supposed to be fully released, but from what it looks like a lot of stuff is still classified. And there is the issue that even some former CIA agents have said that the CIA probably had something to do with the assassination, all signs are pointing toward the possibility that it might have even been the CIA who planned and enacted the whole thing. The issue now is, even with all of that practically being public knowledge, nothing is happening, no uproar, nothing of the sort. And that is the case in many areas, our society has become so incredibly corrupt, but most people are sticking their heads in the sand or (even worse) fighting for made up nonsense that the media is pushing to feel like they are doing something while actually just playing pretend to clout. The people are not going after Epstein's friends, the people are not trying to get their hands on the list that the government is in possession of. Which is why I said what I said, we need someone like Miguel to step out of line and go after these repugnant pests.

@@Jay-rn3de let's see how can I begin... Lula is a crook. Had an absurd level of corruption in his 2003-10 term and his relationships with leftist dictators in Latin America is something to regret. But he at least surrounds himself with people that make him behave like a statesman. And that made him a figure of mediation for much stuff gone and going on, making Brazil look really good in the international field. I don't agree with all, but it is what it is. On the art of relationships and "swallowing some frogs" as defined by a former senator here, he is one of the greats. You will never see him impeached and he is closer and closer from turning the most far right congress in our history to his side. He takes parties to his base, cause rifts on the ones that he cannot bring 100% to his side, and knows that the big centre block is the one that truly rules and pleases them like a sugar daddy pleases a girl. Cardoso, or FHC as we like to call him, despite his bad moments like calling the retired workers "lazy a**es" and the privatization of many public companies by him and politicians of his party, can be called a great president in the economical platform especially. He caught a mess even before his terms. Country in hyperinflation, no stable currency, the country feeling aftershocks from the lost decade of the 80's. He was the minister of economy before that. The words "Collor plan", "summer plan", "Bresser plan" and other plans still cause PTSD attacks among people 50 and above. FHC is no economist. But he was a tremendous politician. Senator for São Paulo, the biggest state of our country, he could sell any project in the congress. As minister, he assembled the best team of economists our country had to end hyperinflation and get our currency stable. Really, it was so unstable that we ran out of historical figures to put in our notes, it changed that much. He told them: you do the economy, I trust you. I'm not an economist, I'm a sociologist (he is a doctor in sociology iirc, lectured at Sorbonne in Paris...), but I can sell any idea to the Congress. And so they did, and this propelled him to the presidency. He passed a change in the constitution that has been unpopular: originally, our president could have one term of 5 years. With the 16th amendment of our constitution, it could be one term of four years with possibility of reelection. He was elected in 1994 and 98 with a landslide of votes, this economical measure changed the history of our country. Lula in his first two terms kept the house stable. But his successor was terribad. Calling Dilma a donkey is an insult to donkeys. Bolsonaro, well... The world truly knows his face. And he tried to mess with Lula, someone he could not defeat politically. Or in the courts. And, if Lula is that unpopular, how he got elected three times?

Each country does need a guy like this, but with some help, as he would be busy, very busy. So many corrupt people in many positions of power these days. Corruption is growing like a cancer almost everywhere. As for the lies these people tell, well, I think we all know they never do what they say to get elected (where at least elections are a thing).
