onion before garlic n ginger - they burn faster and becomes acrid nasty I would saute onion first til translucent, then add gizzards, then when starting to colour add garlic ,ginger and chill (flakes or fresh) when adding garlic and ginger as it will permeate the oil better and taste better overall then when meat seared then add coconut milk, stock etc -- add fresh basil and spring onions together for last couple mins - keeps crunch, colour and pronounced flavour serve on fluffy basmati rice or with warm crusty bread :)

I add them when making chicken stock, with hearts & feet. Remove & chop up & add to finished chicken soup. When roasting a chicken, I wrap giblet heart & feet tightly wrapped in Alfoil, & add to the roast. It steams inside the Alfoil. I either cut up giblet into the chicken gravy, or add to chicken soup made from leftover chicken carcass & bones.

I put mine in a crock-pot. Cover with chicken or beef stock. I then add baby carrots, a yellow onion, celery and mushrooms. Salt, pepper, paprika and a touch of oregano. I set the pot on high for 6 hours. Fresh garlic the last hour. It comes out so tender you can eat the whole thing. Membrane too. Practically melts in your mouth. I'm hungry now.

Actually slow cook for hours in crock pot makes gizard very tender. Can use different spices and flavorings, from mushroom soup/onions, 5 spice/marmalade to BBQ.

I use chicken broth. Baby carrots, mushrooms, onion. Salt, pepper, paprika, fresh garlic and a dash of oregano. Kinda like a stew but with gizzards. In the crock pot, like you said.

You don't just wash gizzards you must clean them pulling the degree off then especially the hard part because if not they will be bitter.

Good one Chef. To tender the gizzard it might take about 45mins I guess. Anyway this could be a good dish. Regards Bernard from Colombo P/s subscribed.

The ingredients look great with a tasty conclusion. Not sure about the 10-15 minutes to tenderise the gizzards. Seems a little under expected. 1 hour at least is more realistic, I think. Setting that aside, it looks fantastic
@nikogrujic6807
@nikogrujic6807 2 года назад
Yeah try adding at least 90 minutes of boiling time that will soften the gizzards. 15 minutes boiling time is like you didn't even boil THEM hard as rubber. Greetings from LAS Vegas

@@nikogrujic6807 After 10-15 minutes, it would work in Canada perhaps… it’s probably how they make hockey pucks 😜😜😜
